Might force the Top SANFL sides to change their tune.... some easy $$$$ for the bank account ;)

For the effort and player welfare, the $ IS pocket change once all the bills are paid while not being able to show off your sponsors

Port v Morningside at 1105 as the Curtain Raiser for the Port v Carlton game which is on at 1910.

The Curtain Raiser will finish 6 hours before the main game :?

Wouldn't cost the clubs a cent to participate.

When we last heard from the non-participating clubs part of the decision was based on the fact it may cost them to participate - which they couldn't afford. From memory it was in their joint press release (hope I'm right, can't be stuffed checking).

There is an added cost if clubs choose to take more training staff, players and officials on the interstate trips but that would be a drop in the ocean for the likes of say North and South.

It's not a curtain raiser.

The stadium gets emptied and closed between the games.

I think Foxtel pay for 32 or 34 people to travel or something like that, so if you want more than that you pay the extra.

"Norwood joint press release.

Regrettably, the current version of the concept does not meet what we would consider to be the
minimum financial requirements our Club’s would need to participate effectively in the competition. It
is our view that the cost of participating would not be fully covered by the prize money on offer, and
would therefore ultimately represent a new cost to our Clubs.

As several other logistical and financial considerations also remain unresolved......etc etc"

Slots is on the Money. The Foxtel Cup organisers pay the expenses for a limited number of players and staff plus their equipment. The travelling club is also able to pull in favours from local clubs or AFL clubs if those involved with the club have contacts if they wish.

So the only 'extra' costs that a club could be subject to is if they pay their club Doctor/physio per match.

Only thing I don't know about is the players match payments.

Pretty decent Magpies lineup. Most of the inclusions have played League or are pushing for selection.

Who will be missing the game in order to make room for the new wingman?

I reckon the Centreline of Biasci, Summerton and Dolling have been replaced by Salopek, AhChee and Rose
