Thanks again Phil, but you've only accounted for 3 of Westies' 4 goals. We kick so few I'm keen to know all of them.

LIVE @ RICHMOND

LEAGUE:

3/4 Time:

N'wd: 6.10 = 46

West: 5.6 = 36

Norwood lead by 10 points

GOAL KICKERS:

N'wd - L.Jericho 2.3, T.Langford, N.Ramsey 1.1, S.Bown, A.Georgiou 1.0, P.Persinos 0.2, D.Pfieffer, B.Gazzola, B.Dawe, 0.1

West - J.Davenport 1.1, R.Willits, A.Hartlett, D.Piasente, A.Fielke 1.0, D.Webb 0.1, Rushed 0.4

That quarter was pretty scrappy form both sides with lots of turnovers but some good passages of play as well. Luke Jericho kicked his 2 goals in that 3rd term after kicking 3 behinds to that point.

I like the look of former Glenelg lad Nick Ramsey and Darren Pfieffer showed some real class in that term, proving he will be more than handy for the Redlegs this year. Toby Schulz also looks like a backline position is his post, he has played well so far in a sweeping like role.

For Westies, the usual suspects of James Ezard and David Piasente continued to work hard while after a great opening half with plenty of run and attack, Kurt Thompson wasn't as productive. Nathan Ahmat-Watkins had a couple of good moments as well so far.

LIVE @ RICHMOND

LEAGUE:

FINAL SCORES:

West: 9.9 = 63

N'wd: 8.10 = 58

West win by 5 points

GOAL KICKERS:

West - J.Beech, J.Davenport 2.1, A.Fielke 2.0, R.Willits, A.Hartlett, D.Piasente, 1.0, D.Webb, T.Price, , Rushed 0.5

N'wd - L.Jericho 2.3, T.Langford 2.1, A.Georgiou 2.0, N.Ramsey 1.1, S.Bown, P.Persinos 0.2, D.Pfieffer, B.Gazzola, B.Dawe, 0.1

Well, what an exciting finish to this game, Norwood probably letting it slip slightly leading by 3 goals late in the game, allowing West Adelaide to kick 3 very late goals in time on to pinch the win.

After doing not much at all for the first 3 quarters, Johno Beech took the game alight in the last term winning plenty of the ball and kicking 2 goals in 3 minutes, including the winning goal 30 seconds before the final siren.

Some good signs from both sides tonight but still some quality players to return for both clubs before Round 1 which should see an improvement on tonight's performance, no doubt the Bloods will take some confidence from getting the win.

Both sides had their moments controlling the play, Norwood early on not able to capitalise in front of goal, Westies showing in 5 or 10 minute bursts they can play an attractive brand of football.

From Norwood's perspective, young Tom Langford impressed up forward (after getting the late call up because Keiran McGuinness shot himself in the hand with a nail gun) and after half time, Alex Georgiou shifted to the forward line and kicked a couple of nice goals.

Luke Jericho, Bryce Campbell, Mitch Grigg and Darren Pfieffer all played well for the Legs while young Pat Levicki again showed some promise as the back up ruckman to Brady Dawe.

For the Bloods, Crows listed player Chris Schmidt impressed across 4 quarters, Jason Davenport and Aaron Fielke were also impressive while Johno Beech had his shining moment in the last term winning the game for Westies.

Thanks for that, BP.

For West fans, best players included Kurt Thompson, who showed plenty of dash from defence, Scott Blesing, Steve Morris, David Piasente, James Ezard and Ben MacReadie.

New mature age recruit Tyrone Price was also impressive.

Johnno Beech played mainly in defence for the first 3 quarters in the absence of Ferguson and Silvester, then kicked 2 goals in the last few minutes.

Go Johnno :D

Good question, statsman :D

It's good that he is versatile and it's a tough one, but the odds might just lean slightly in favour of him starting up forward.

I agree with u R & B, Beechy is an extremely accurate kick at goal....one you could almost put your house on when taking pressure shots at goal.
