Bring back short shorts and high heels with legs like that. Hell yes.

Pipes and Drums and a school choir? Gee the SANFL really know their demographic. Still, the 90 year-old blind and deaf mute who organised this can't stay in the job forever.

Interesting, looking at some of the you tube options next to this. All the talk of doom and gloom re the league. Saw the 91 crowd (North v West) was 39,296, the first year the Crows played. The following year Port Glenelg 42,242. Last years 35,647 doesn't look too bad in comparison. If we could get 35,000 +, I think that would be quite healthy.

Because I cant think of any other reason why the entertainment "budget" would be all of 50 cents worth, noting all the financial subsidies going to Port Power.

Going by T&D it looks like the SANFL have also forgotten NZ is already on DST which, ironically, would make it the only international time that is currently correct on http://www.sanfl.com.au/finals/.

The "3:40pm" is correct for NSW, Victoria and Tasmania only by virtue of them starting Daylight Savings as well (ie 3:40pm AEDT, or 2:40pm AEST for Queensland).

Correct Australian capital city times will be:-

Adelaide - 3:10pm (Central Daylight Savings Time or ACDT)

Perth - 12:40pm (Western Standard Time),

Darwin - 2:10pm (Central Standard Time)

Brisbane - 2:40pm (Eastern Standard Time, AEST)

Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart - 3:40pm (AEDT)

Folks abroad needing confirmation may like to check out the Time and Date site JAS has referred to above. I've found it to be a class act in these matters.

Thanks StrayDog
Geez the idea that the geo-challenged faithful could miss the first hour cos the SANFL screwed up doesn't bear thinking about.

If someone hasn't already done so you might want to post something on your club forum to warn yours.

Looks like they've changed the UK time now but people elsewhere might want to double check http://www.sanfl.com.au/finals/

JAS

How about asking Dogs fan Jimmy Barnes and Legs fan Paul Kelly, to put something on?
Is anyone going to sing the national anthem or will it be the Julie Anthony recording?

1. Agree 100% with Squawk. I cringed reading what the pre-match entertainment is going to be. Is this some kind of joke SANFL, or did Tina Turner turn them down :D?

2. Seeing that the SANFL has gone all cheap and nasty with the pre-match enterainment, I wouldn't put it past them to just do the Julie Anthony recording.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

SANFL ‘be active’ GRAND FINAL ENTERTAINMENT

3.10pm – LEAGUE GRAND FINAL – Central District v Norwood

Halftime - SAFooty ‘Parade of Champions’ and U14 AAMI Cup Knockout Competition Grand Final

That would be closer to being some sort of genuine entertainment

Methinks there would be very few in that parade... ;)

Pre-game entertainment is over rated, although what's planned couldn't be. Having said that Delta Goodrem, wearing similiar to what Jackie Love had on, would be quite acceptable.
