Meh.

Headbutting is almost the king of thuggery. Waldhunter will cop his suspension. At least he doesn't have to be worried about being banned for life next time.

Waldhuter offered 2 weeks, Barmby a reprimand for pushing the North runner, the North runner a $300 fine for his part in it and Kriston Thompson offered 1 week for his hit on Schiller in the reserves on Saturday...

Good result for waldhunter. Has Kristian Thompson ever been reported before? He broke schillers collar bone.

And? It's not the afl.

Well not sure why obst got three then. If he has a clean record, then that may have been a consideration.

Obst ran into someone off the ball in the reserves (I didn't see it), he got three weeks. Thompson ran into Schiller after he'd got rid of it, broke his collarbone and got one week.

Would have been around 6.5-7k I reckon.
Though the Waldhuter-Fenton incident may have created a bit of interest on here (just as, if not more, thuggish than anything Parry's ever done ;) )

Do we have an official crowd?

What have the crowds been for the last few years for the first week?

The AFL decision wasn't mentioned by any of the North supporters I know who didn't attend. Those who didn't go all missed simply because they didn't want to see North get smashed considering their previous 5 weeks.

I have never seen a team lose all form so badly and then recapture it within a week. Lewis Johnston surely cant make that much difference.

Centrals must have controlled the gate.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Crowd 6500 according to Rucci in todays paper. Poor in any language. Good turnout by Roosters followed in decending order by Central, Eagles and then Westies.
