Norwood would have been ok with this if Bassett had been mouthing off and a West player had whacked him? As if.

I'd like to think one of our mob wouldn't give evidence against another player.

How do you think Fielke got suspended this week?

But Collins could of been a lot worse, he saved Bassett a suspension and he also saved Bode some weeks by saying his hit was 1/10.

Should be grateful i reckon

Good point - Collins really saved us from the fight he started

More like he bit off more than he could chew and went running off to teach. Weak. As. Piss[/quote]

It was going on before he got there

Sure he mouthed off but did he start the fight? I thought a fight only started when the first push/punch occurred.

Unless it's an official of CDFC reporting a player from video footage to the SANFL during Grand Final week of course. ;)

like We did to Schubert.
BUT it happened on the oval, Norwood SEEM to be trying to act tough on AND off the oval, supporters are getting in on it too, spitting on players etc., as they go down the race isn't good.
Typical of Norwood Oval though, quite a history of events. ;)

TECHNICALLY Bode started it then, by being mouthy whilst leaving the oval.

Crikey, if the fight starts when people are just mouthing off at each other, I've been in more fights than I realised.

Did we report Schubert, or was the video used in defence?

Or was Topsy actually referring to the Macca incident which prevented him from playing the 97 GF, but not, as urban legend has it, from receiving a premiership medal?

Just to clear it up Macca had a medal placed around his neck on Grand Final day 1997 (by Matt Campbell's mistake) but he never received the engraved one that you get a few days later.

I stand next to the race at Norwood, have done for 40 years, and I assure you if I see Norwood "supporters" spitting on ANYONE they will deal with me!!

Spitting is a vile and pathetically weak display of cowardice in my book.

I know I was being pedantic but it wasn't Matt Campbell's mistake, it was Robbie Popplestone.

Schubert wasn't reported, the video was used in Gowans defence.

So I suspect Topsy's talking about the Macca/Dew incident.

Such an incident reflects really poorly on the professionalism of our competition. Very surprised that at least one of the coaches was not suspended for a game. A much harsher and fitting impost than any sized fine. Would have sent a stronger message if Bassett was outed for two games and Collins for one.

REALLY!! so why did Norwood send in medical evidence to the tribunal to say that the incident that Fielke was reported for was the cause of Bodes broken wrist??

My mistake!! Narrowed it down to the 2 of them, couldn't remember Popplestone's name so went with Campbell.

Goodness, Fielke could consider himself lucky for breaking an opponents hand I would have thought, that's a decent injury.

problem is that wasn't the incident that caused it.
