Yes, another un-named source. I guess the eclipse only lasted one night.
No doubt, as Les Stevens posted the letter in response to the media beat up by one senior journalist, one senior journalist will be seeking retribution.

99.99999% that comes out of this blokes head is a load of dribble

BUT

i do tend to agree with this theory of his.

"But there also is the theory that Adelaide's original members from 1990 were from a 40-60 age group and have not been regenerated as they have vacated their seats. The next generation of Crows members, frustrated at not getting into AAMI Stadium, has learned to watch the game on television, and is staying there as more and more games are shown live against the gate."

Could the years of having members on waiting lists hurt the Crows!

I dont really see what the issue here is. Do you think Craig shouldnt be under the pump, despite being in 14th spot with their most 'talented list ever', lost 5 games in a row by an average of 7 goals, not given a whimper, have been thrashed by 16th, 15th, 13th & 12th this year. They are in no mans land. Craigs 8th year as coach. Have been in steady decline since 2006. Supporters lost faith. But hey, apparently the media should get off his back :?

Hooray Macca!! How he ever escaped scrutiny after 05,06 fade outs and the slide into mediocrity is beyond me. Rodney Eade makes top 5 four years in a row and they're calling for his head mid season.

I reckon most of us agree with your post Macca
Neil Craig is under all sorts of pressure for the reasons you have stated
The issues I and others have is why Rucci constantly continues his crusade against Neil Craig in the press
The only day this week he has not crucified Craig was on Thursday when he didnt write

SATURDAYS ADVERTISER zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Surprise surprise
Heez at it again
pages 116 + 117, the usual, Craig this, Crows this etc
He repeats the Weed Alter boy stuff, and about the MALcolm Blight day clean out from the last millenuim AGAIN

PERHAPS
Instead of posting when Rucci has a crack at Craigy, I should just post when he does not !

MONDAY
Guess what
Yep you guessed it
Rucci is Craig bashing AGAIN on 2 seperate articles in todays press
Once again hes produced that famous quote weapon of his :
"" MOST EXCITING LIST""

Yep Mr Craig is being condemned for this fallacious comment
As he should be with the under performing team
But at least Neil made that gutsy comment
And the press snipers are having field days over it

QUESTION
Did Rucci actually write in the press about this comment when it was first made ?
Or did he wait for the Crows to wilt and then bring it up

WHEN WILL IT STOP ?
Ive only started posting about the Craig bashings 7 days ago [no doubt the Craig bashing was doing the rounds prior to this, I havent been reading Ruccis articles b4 hand]
The 7 day count is now at :
5 Days Rucci bashing Craig
2 days where he has not
The 2 days were when he didnt write an article 4 the day ...

I'm starting to wonder if he's trying to crank up that campaign that Crows supporters were trying to do a few years back, where he'd said he'd stop writing if they raised a couple of million dollars and gave it to him.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

I've got a better idea - if he donates a couple of million bucks to the 8 SANFL clubs, then I'll start reading.

In the articles a dozen press comments made by Neil Craig from 2009-2011 have been quoted over a 2 page spread

Unfortunately we live in such a boring two team town,a massive percentage in the sports pages are filled with same topics over and over again, not that i have ever been to W.A but i gather it would be the same there.Lived in Victoria for a few years and you certainly get a better variety,a story will be highlighted for the short term but soon after another story will replace the other.

WA is nowhere near as bad. Not even close.

The journo's are still hacks and Dockers supporters whinge about Kim Hagdon (Hackdorn), but nowhere near as bad as that idiot Rucci.

Not the right forum but the right thread.
Does Michelangelo make up stories without any substance?
Peter Rohde has indicated it may happen and next thing Michelangelo has plucked a game out of mid air.
At least give Chad a chance of a win.
PS Spell your name right ;)

Cornes to bid adieu against Pies

Micelangelo Rucci, Chief Football Writer
From: AdelaideNow
June 21, 20113:14PM

CHAD Cornes is to get a farewell game - against Collingwood at AAMI Stadium on Saturday, August 6.

Port Adelaide's 2004 premiership hero is prepared to call an end to his successful AFL career, 14 years after he became a first-round draftee.

And the Power is eager to salute him with a farewell match.

In question until August 6 is how many more AFL games will Cornes play to add to his 235-match record before he is the centre of an emotional send-off at West Lakes where he played his first AFL match in 1999 in a Showdown against Adelaide.

A farewell Showdown in round 19 on July 31 has not gained currency at Alberton because the derby is a Crows' home game, limiting the chance for Power fans to be at AAMI Stadium to acknowledge one of the club's greatest AFL players.

Cornes, 31, has not played in the AFL since April 30 - and his repetitive absence from the Power line-up is a constant source of frustration among Power fans.

Port football operations chief Peter Rohde told AdelaideNow the Power's match committee has not discussed Cornes' finish at Alberton.

"But as a club, when that decision is made, we will be very comfortable with Chad having a farewell game," he said.
