Agreed - Elbow was down - mid body within 5-10 metres of the ball but probably worth 1 game (3 - That is a dangerous precedent for every other player in the SANFL for the remainder of the year)

On a side issue - Does delvins serve his suspension for the foxtel cup only - If so, how is this fair on clubs not involved in the comp?

OR can he play the foxtel cup and then serves the suspension in the next H&A game?

It also raises the question - reported in a foxtel cup game and lose, do you serve suspension in the SANFL comp. Can you still win the magarey?

Get a suspension in the foxtel cup and win, do you serve the next foxtel cup game as a suspension and play SANFL H&A and still eligible for Magarey as its a different comp?

Gowans only got 3 for his king hit on Schubert in the 07 GF. Morris get 3 for a fractionally late hip and shoulder. Again, any danger of consistency

James Gowans was to be suspended for 5 weeks for that 07 Grand Final hit on Schubert, had footage not been found of Schubert hitting him first, hence the reduction to 3.

Morris's suspension is disgraceful. That's a 50 metre penalty and a reprimand at worst.

Found this similar to a famous Port/West game where multiple west players were reported by the umpire and none from Port leading to the westies advocate to suggest to the tribunal that the west players were fighting each other. Umpire did admit years later to being a supporter of one of the teams --- think got correct if not better historians can correct me.

Morris decision crap rest seem fair enough?

Would like clarification in reference to serving one game in Foxtel cup or not?

As I mentioned in the thread below, one of the Milera's served his suspension in the Foxtel Cup only.

Such a shame West got knocked out of the Foxtel Cup. A West v North GF would of got people around Australia talking. ;)

I don't have an issue with the non reports of Alleway and Gill, rather how an incident such as Morris' can be deemed as a 3 week suspension. I doubt anyone will support such a lengthy penalty.

To me it has now set a dangerous precident for other SANFL footballers. Free kick, 50m penalty, reprimand/1 game at most, but 3? Is this what we want local footy to become?

Hope West appeal and Morris gets a reprimand.

Just trying to appeal to the masses. ;)
