The fact the umpires pay the softest of frees/25 metres yet if you belt a bloke or do something dangerous you get off scott free.
Get rid of Shane Harris, whatever the umpies have been taught, tell them to forget it.
Tell them to umpire with a bit of common sense instead, if they fail move them on.
The AFL was never even close to the crap we have to watch at SANFL these days in regard to umpiring/interpretations.
Wont even bother with the last quarter, from the couple of mins I saw that qtr things are only getting worse.
Will save my TV time for the Waratahs game in NZ.
Pretty sad when a Rugby Union game is more appealing than SANFL.

Simply, they've been told to fall in line more with the AFL interpretations.

Lucky free to Powell in guts, then one to Schultz, but in line with what they have been paying all day.

I wish they'd do what they're told then as they're getting further away from current day AFL interpretaions.
Its like they're umpiring a different sport.
If that's truly their aim then they should all be sacked as they're further away now than they've ever been.

Isn't the soft 25/50mt penalties direct from the AFL?

Nup, never had 25m penalties in the AFL and don't pay for 50 metres for what they're paying 25 metres for in the SANFL.
There would be at least a dozen (probably more) "penalties" in a SANFL game than an AFL game, similar to there also being a lot more frees in the SANFL than the AFL.
Different games, wish we could get some AFL umpires in for a round, it'd be good to watch for a change.
Most AFL games I forget the umpires is there, most SANFL games I forget the players are there!

Goal to Caruso to put West 26 points up at 13 minute mark.

Would be handy if 5RPH would give the scores more often and the complete score.

I know the AFL have never had 25's but I've seen some pretty soft 50mts in the AFL, simialr to what is being paid 25 in SA.

Not even close, trust me, maybe 1 or 2, not 12 or 13. Its just ridiculous. And AFL don't have the inconsistincies we have ie belting blokes not giving a free, touching a bloke or half tackling him and you get a free.
