Well, you'd be annoyed if he didn't apologise too wouldn't you.
I'm sure he's aware he's going to get games whether he apologises or not.

Still I think the best course of action is what someone on here has already stated. 20k fine. He would feel that. And would take out the problem if he retired.

20k??? That's a fair whack for a semi-professional athlete. OTT

Five games for mine if they believe he was provoked

Eight to 10 if they don't.

20K fine? That's equivalent to fining an AFL player about 400K.

I don't think you can fine him.
I reckon he'll get about 6 games, would have been a lot more in the AFL.
(I'm not saying that's what he deserves just what I think he'll get)

both your points are irrelivant, the fact he acknowledges he was in the wrong totally, makes defending him wrong aswell.

No I watched the Channel 9 news.
So are you changing your story now doggod, your previous reference was "And why did Gowans chase him down with a bleeding mouth?" which was proven to be wrong.
Whinge, lie, whinge, lie.

Why aren't my posts appearing?Am I barred?

edit:It appears I am back.
Wedgie your reference to me as a liar is offensive and uncalled for.
What channel seven showed was nowhere near a push in the back.
If you didn't see it why not wait till you do before you start insulting people.

It would seem everyone else but Centrals supporters are correct on this thread.

So you wouldn't be disappointed if he hadn't apologised?

PS: I haven't defended his actions. I don't think people are defending his action. What they are suggesting is that for every action there is a reaction. Doesn't make it right.

On a brighter note, well done to all the North and Central players who were up all night and still made it to the club shows today, I couldn't do it but I did have a 8 hour head start on them.

Wedgie,2 of my posts did not appear in this thread and it kind of disrupted the gist of what I was trying to say.I edited the post in which I asked if I was barred as you were replying to that post,so I suspect you didn't see the edit.Just to clear the air,I do not want to enter into a public slanging match with you but the footage Channel Seven showed was likely considerably different to what you keep referring to as "a push in the back".It would be good if you could find a way to have a look at it and then offer your assessment. As to your suggestion that I am a liar,I assure you it is not the case.Footy is an emotional game and sometimes my perception will be at odds with yours but I do not make things up and the post I made regarding the 7 news was the first I made in this thread so I am not responsible,as you inferred for multiple justifications for Gowans' actions.

Didn't call you a liar mate, just said IF Schubey doesn't get any games then your assessment of it being a similar sort of incident would be a lie, Im sure the Channel 7 version could have shown something that noone else showed and if that's the case Schubey will get many games and you'll be proven right. I didn't see the Channel 7 version so can only assume you're telling the truth and he'll get many games as I have no reason to distrust you. :D

Well said Kahuna. I am now sick to death of this topic -we all said it was a poor action. I'm going back to celebrating what was a fantastic win by the club. The Dogs continue to amaze with their persistence and ability to come back from adversity. Both the losses in 2002 and 2006 could have undone the club but they fought back on both occasions. That is the sign of true grit and a truly great club. Well done Dogs. Bring on 2008!!!!

Its like last years Skipworth thread, round and round and round. Common denominator?

Congrats to the Dogs I say, Gowan will get 4-6 weeks, he will regret what he has done , however a stain on a great career.

We were just down the road at the Rosemont, I would have come up and said gudday if I'd known, I saw a couple of Dogs fans in McDonalds when I was getting breakfast after 6am some time.
Speaking of being up to ridiculous times, Im too old for this, going to bed now.
Enjoy your day at the chimney tomorrow Dogs fans. I'm jealous. :D
