Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It's a huge task but i can see us staying with them if we play our best footy - but if (like what used to happen ALL THE TIME) we come out, say after half time, with a drop in intensity, that's when Centrals will capitalize and blow it out to 10 goals+

All we can ask for as Bays supporters is a 4 quarter effort on the day, and like has been said many times, we will get a good look at what we are made of this week.

Go Tigers, have a red hot crack.

The bays will get nowhere near the dogs if the dogs even play at 80% of their best. Glenelg will firstly have to upset the dogs run and attack on ball and body to bring them down a level, and then will have to play hard running clean football to win. I can't see it happening though, and if Glenelg aren't right on top of their game and desperate they will get flogged. Big test of character for them. They can always hope though that the dogs get too far ahead of themselves.

Recent like 12 months ago? Our team is much diffferent, in better form and playing with more confidence than when we went into that game. On top of that we played a shocker that day, and Glenelg played a ripper. I don't think the bays are the same team now as they were then either, so I think that result has so little meaning I'm surprised you raise it as any sort of argument.

Personally I think you're bragging.....

Incidently, for years we had the "how many premierships have you won" line thrown at us. After the 2005 GF I though to myself "now I can use it on an opposition!". Was so upset by the result I clean forgot to use it!

The only thing that Sturt & Glenelg may have in common is the size of the oval which may play into Glenelgs hands. Glenelg don't have a Rick McGowan though who can instill a winning mentallity into the playing group. Without the hardness at the ball and a willingness to run all day, Glenelg will struggle to match up to Central.

As will 8 other teams .. I can't recall a SANFL team as dominant as this current Dogs outfit in my time.

Losing a bloke like young Westhoff would hurt most teams, not this lot .. Judging by the names in their ressies there is plenty of depth left too!

I dont think they could do it again, doubt Centrals will have another off day like that.
Would be intrested to know how many games from this point in the season the Dogs have dropped in the past few years, i know it was none in 2005, and probably only 1-2 in 04 and 06.

I think that Central that day had approx. 8 players in the side that played in the G.F. the year before & as history shows, as the season went on, the 'Dogs got better & better. This year's side is shitloads better than last year's. But anyone can win on the day & history has shown that time & time again.
