Sturt a class above after half time. Bays have their work cut out for them.

Listened to the SEN feed from Hobart, it seemed Sturt found some better composure in the second half to match the effort that was there all game.

First Fathers Day without Dad, he would have liked that one!

Job not done, but happy to get past the first finals demon.

Sturt got off to a flyer with 3 goals and should have had another within the first 10 mins, then the Bays steadied, to then be somewhat dominant in the 2nd to kick 6 of the next 7 goals to lead by a couple at half time with the momentum.

Sturt completely dominated the 2nd half, with 11 of the last 13 goals, and deserved the victory.

Not all doom and gloom, have to back up again next week against a resurgent Norwood, but these are the games you need to win.

The glass half full says that the Bays are in the same position next week as this one … that is, a win earns a GF spot.

Special mention to the Crows supporter a few rows behind me, who was quite vocal until the 3rd quarter of the 1st match, then proceeded to cover his Crows guernsey with a Bays hoodie in the last quarter, and didn’t hear a peep from him after that.

He had quite a day, ‘both’ his teams lost … one wonders what he wore last week and who the hell he was barracking for

Kudos to Sturt too good today.

Going to take a lot of beating in two weeks time by whoever plays them

Remind me a lot about us in 2023, Clearly the best team going around.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Blues too good, even when we were ahead it did seem a bit of a false scoreboard

Bays went to old school man on man between the arcs which did hold Sturt up for a while, at times they seemed very confused on how to go forward which created some turnover opportunities. Mattner made the adjustments at half time and it was over.
