Wrenched, rather than snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. #-o

SANFL website says the winning behind was scored at 25:08 in the last quarter. How much play was there after that?

We’re obviously not going to get a view from a ravens fan, unless Matty Wrights Mrs is a user here….. so Southies what the hell happened?

Looked like south with the breeze going by the scores in the 2nd but then didn’t score in the last?

As a 60 year supporter, and someone who is positive with the re-build that was as bad a choke as I've ever seen
In the last 10 minutes- 2 shots for goal from the pocket with the wind don't score, strong mark on the wing and terrible kick stops South being deep in attack, terrible kick-in with the wind when 1 point up marked by Crows player 40 out, and finally a South free on the wing with the wind at 25 minute mark kicks into man on the mark allowing turnover and the final point for the Crows
Amazing lack of game awareness
I don't know how the coach would have handled that after the game, but that was appalling
and to top it off the last 3 goals for Crows scored by ex South guys Cook (2) and Draper
I don't know how to handle this!!

Exactly how I thought it would play out. We are no good and simple cant score.

Zero goals after half time.

Wright is not the answer and the board need to harden up and make a call before the club is closed down for good.

Wright has been coach for 8 years and we are as bad as ever. How many years does he need 16 years.

I want to know if we are paying the full salary cap. We previously were paying Broadbent, Cross, Gibbs, Brooksby and Rose. Where is the salary cap being spent now? If we are paying the full cap then recruitment has been a total failure and if we aren't paying the total salary cap why aren't we????

Barely anyone at the game.

Well that was a punch in the guts..

Backman accurately summarised the final quarter clusterf*ck in an earlier post. Poor skills, poor decision making and a loss of all shape and structure forward of centre, all with the assistance of a gale force wind. So disappointing and unacceptable.

South's first half was as good as they've played all year. Winning contested ball, some nice handball chains and surprisingly decent foot skills in the conditions.

First gamer Chapman found plenty of the ball, and Skinner up forward was reasonably effective. Davis named best.

Certainly the smallest Noarlunga crowd I've personally been a part of. 815 is the lowest recorded attendance figure in recent times, can see that record being knocked off. A day for the diehards.

It’s almost inconceivable the neither of those two almost identical set shots from the pocket in the last quarter managed a score

Feel your pain, definitely one that got away.

Yeahhh, I said to my son at the time that even a couple of points would have been handy given the state of the game. Prophetic unfortunately.
