You should spit the sour grapes out.

100% a wasted season. Jezzas sole reason for moving to Ports SANFL side was to give himself the best chance to get back into AFL.
Subsequently his form has dropped significantly from last year, and Liddy gets a gig ahead of him by remaining at the Dogs.
No doubt Jezza would be thinking if his move was ill conceived.

He was never going to get on an AFL list again. 4 years on a mediocre Suns list for zero games, his type are a dime a dozen in the AFL. I was really surprised he was drafted in the first place, to be honest.
Port sold him a dream just to bolster their SANFL side

If Port take Liddy you get a transfer fee ( Maybe 20K ?) . Also as neither Port side will be playing finals, he will be eligible to come back and play for Centrals in the finals.

So we get Jezza, Linke & Liddy back for the finals.
And Dudley next year.

Perhaps, but he backed himself and chased what he thought was his best opportunity to get back into the AFL system. Who knows it may happen over the summer.

I highly doubt any of the above would take place, no reason why it would. Dudley has a two-year contract, so that definitely won't be happening.

He's not in the top 10 for disposals this season.
I guess a handful of good games is all it possibly needs.

Glenelg supporters will be disappointed by tonight's draft.

He's been good for us, not "dominating" at all. 22.6 average disposals, 5 clearances, less than a goal a game and about 4 marks per game, at 184cm not a big midfielder. Anyway, Port gets to boost the depth of their reserves. The old system was so much better, for all stakeholders.

Honestly, I don't really see it either, but if the likes of Ratkins are playing AFL, Port clearly have a need, and they view Liddy as the best option to fill it.

Smart move, there's no relocation costs involved, so it reduces your financial commitment to the player. Also less interference to their personal life, too.

If they don't take him in the mid-season draft, with no real commitment (re contract term) required by the AFL club, then they never will. They're happy stringing him along in the reserves, paying him less than an AFL rookie would need to be paid.

"Another", to be playing in the sun. A minor concession, won't be playing against Glenelg in the SANFL.

PLus Port are non-competitive again this season.

It must suck losing most weeks whilst centrals have won 5 in a row

LInke and Liddy no

But Jezza im not sure of the rule but if he want to be on afl list you would want to play in the SANFL finals series.

Doubtful Ports reserves will be doing that.

I thought the same with Dudley at the start of the year tbh.

Liddy had an exceptional game against North on Good Friday I assume Surjan has passed on the info.

LInke no.

But Jezza and Liddy(depending on if he only gets a 6 month contract) if they want to be on afl list you would want to play in the SANFL finals series.

Doubtful Ports reserves will be doing that.

What are you guys talking about? Under what circumstances could Jezza play for us? He's a contracted Port reserves player. Under the new moronic concessions if he's not selected by the port reserves any given week, he can play reserves for Central or amateur league. If Liddy is picked up tonight, he's a port afl listed player. He doesn't get to play for us. I'd like to see where, how this is a possibiity??

Gold Coast, take Oscar Adams, from the Bay. Port take Ramn from the Bays.
