Disappointing result after leading (albeit not by much) for most of the afternoon. The first half was a reasonable spectacle, but the skills and decision making went downhill after the break.

South only won a few final quarters last season and again struggled to run the game out.

Northam named best for the third week in a row. Davis again busy, Grocock with 4 goals - imagine AFL scouts would be keeping an eye on him, Howes probably his best game at senior level.

Clavarino (hamstring) was a significant loss early on.

Need a little more from some of the more established players like Dunkin, Fitt, Freitag.
