Sturt guy down for 6 or 7 minutes before being stretchered off.

Yeah, didn't appear to move at all. Ambulance came with lights and sirens. Let's hope that he pulls through okay.

Thanks hope he is ok and a quick recovery

Disappointing to lose from there but credit to Sturt and if they had kicked straighter probably wouldve won by more

Why are Sturt allowed to wear blue shorts against us as the away team i thought if you clashed with the home team they had to change.
It was an issue in the reserves game but it happens every year they come to Elizabeth especially with us wearing our blue guernseys and shorts .

Probably a mix up as Central elected to have white shorts as their "home" shorts for so many years.

Full credit to Sturt. They dominated for large parts of the game but didn't capitalise. Rather than throw the towel in and mark it down as "just one of those days", they persisted, straightened up and came away with the win.

The Dogs have now created a list of guys who are clearly up to league level. What we desperately miss are the individuals who can have a major impact. And Lachie Burrows would fit nicely

Playing reserves. Missed a couple of games through injury. If he makes the league team on current form, then we're really struggling.

A big unit up front like Ballenden would be handy.

It won't matter who we have up front unless we work on how we move the ball forward.
Our mids lack skill and don't win enough footy.
Slow ball movement and poor skills make it tough on the forwards.
The last two games we have only had around 30 inside 50s.
Hopefully we have already started looking at potential recruits, and quality Not quantity.

Just as an aside the Reserves match between 2 and 3 returned a result of 42 points to 33 in good conditions.
Some good defending but some diabolical ball use as well from both sides going forward.

Agree. Picked up some very good players in the last 2 or 3 years who are certainly valuable contributors. With the depth (and age) of this current crop, we do not need too may newbees, BUT clearly need some top players who can have an impact for 4 quarters, week after week. At this stage, Harry Grant is probably our only consistent performer in this regard.

Hopefully Travis, back next year. But, we'd still need a couple more A graders.

Sturt havent worn white shorts when playing away for a long time. It was no issue in any of the games

Probably because the Dogs wore white shorts for years but changed this year I assume?

I think Lleyton Chisholm was really good before he got his back injury and we haven't looked convincing since. He's due for return any tick so maybe our centre work will improve, and if not this year then next.
