Lowest since 1,134 attended Round 16 2015 North v Glenelg. I recall that day being particularly awful weather-wise as well as Woodville recorded only 1,071 for the Eagles v South clash which is the lowest known crowd for that venue.

What's the highest recorded disposal count in a SANFL league match? Has any player had more than 57? Is there anywhere where we can find SANFL records like most disposals?

I'm assuming spell_check has an answer?

He will know, alright.
The trouble is, reaching him. He's not always on this site, recently. We need some sort of direct line, like a Bat Phone, or a giant spot- light that can cast his symbol on to the clouds, and when he sees it, he'll know there's some sort of question related to statistics on SAFooty, and then he could come on here and answer it for us.

Darel Hart had exactly 57 possesions in a Prospect game in late 1990 when North thrashed West. He also kicked 6 goals in the match. For his efforts he got one Magarey Medal vote.

Kevin Morris said on TV on the Sunday following the match that any player who gets 30 touches in a half shouldn't be allowed back in the second half!

The Saturday after the Magarey Medal count Doug Thomas admitted that at the count he went up to the umpires who gave one vote to Hart (I think one was Mark Mackie) and told them they had absolutely no idea if they only gave one vote to Hart.

Around the same time, Chris McDermott had similar stats for Glenelg against Woodville and didn't get a vote at all.

Thanks for the trivia ROG. What an amazing individual performance having 57 and kicking 6 but bloody hell only the one vote, what a stitch up!!

Dunno but he has 56 now

Westoff 37 and Powell-Pepper 32

Ridiculous numbers.
It’s why it’s a farce they are playing.

Might as well play the Power theme song.

Where else are they supposed to play, he might of still got 57 playing for Sturt under the old system and nobody would give a shit

At the time they didn’t envision you becoming a AFL reserves side

Thank the SANFL for that, still no premietships though but the so called unfairness is always raised when the argument suits

Always wanting to blame someone , its a culture at Port. Crowds for AFL are down so I assume wheels are in motion to get a new venue. So soon too. On your own now. I cant see Port surviving in the long term so maybe its time to really explore Tassie, NT or is China open ? Good to look forward .

Now, now, LMA, no one else wants your cretinous reserves side, least of all the real Magpies fans.

Real fans embraced the move into the big leagues, the minority that couldn't see past black and white are probably Collingwood supporters (99% of the ones I know anyway). You would of had the same situation if Sturt won the 2nd licence as I dont think Carlton would of signed off on another Blues being in the comp.

Your not very familiar with the SANFL are you. Sturt are actually Double Blues and not at all similar to Carlton in ant way. Maybe SA. :D
