All discussions to do with the SANFL

from NAFC -

Disappointingly, some of our supporters behaviour in the outer at Alberton Oval on Saturday was a disgrace. We have received several complaints today from our own supporters who have been so affected by this language and behaviour that they are weighing up whether to continue to attend our matches in the future. This type of immature behaviour is a direct reflection on our Club to all supporters and will not be tolerated. We are currently investigating those who were believed to be involved and if they continue with this behaviour, they will be reported and no longer allowed into SANFL matches. To those Roosters and Magpies fans affected by this, we sincerely apologise to all.

I can speculate from a position of ultimate guesswork, but I would say this would be a probably directed towards Port in regards to reserves matter.

I believe North fans have been rather vocal in the past. I would assume this was just continued.

With all due respect, hardly a startling revelation. ;)

More the specifics I was after, any particular group of North fans? Whereabouts was the alleged incident? ( The outer wing, old Grandstand )

I was in the bowling club and there wasn't much other than a couple of dimwits carrying on in there. Nearly looked old enough to remember their last premiership.

No particular group, I think it was 2 or 3 about 5 metres to the left of me (I stood under the roof of the outer bar) going on and on about the AFL, being unemployed, etc.
It was boring and not even slightly witty but nothing extraordinary as far as expletives go.
At least one grog went up to them at half time and told them to pull their heads in, and they've been told similar since by other means.
One only started attending games last year and if the club don't get rid of him we're going to tell him to piss off this week at Woodville if he tries to stand anywhere near us. I'm not sure he's all there.
I was actually more pissed off with some well respected North supporters who kept standing in front of me!
Oh and some woman screaming at the umps for giving a free (rightfully) to a Power player as it was kicked out by a North player. She was screaming "But the Port player could touch it, that's not a free!".
There should be a law against stupid people making any sort of noise in public

PS I'm only old enough to remember 2007 onwards.

I used to take my children to footy games 30 years ago.

I was ashamed of the language of the young people.

I stopped going.

My young children should not be exposed to this.

Seems nothing has changed.

There seems less respect now days to yesteryear..

Every suburban oval these days has plenty of quieter areas.
Never much of a problem in front of the grandstands.
