Rnd 10 - Eagles v Adelaide @ M T Hyunda Oval (Sat 20/6)

Sat behind the Crows players. They were very interested in the Blues Vs Power game - especially the last 5 minutes. Reactions were very amusing when the final siren went.

The crowd at yesterdays game was larger than I expected it to be. Congratulations to the kids parade. Its good to see all the promotional activity.
What disappoints me is the lack of promotion our AFL teams put into the local game. I am not sure if the crows AFL players were there. If they were, there could have been some interaction with the local kids and some promotional activity. Any comments Phil

First it was great to see so many Auskickers (that was who the parade was for) turn up. We have a lot of new clinics with the zone changes, some a fair distance away, so the turn up was much greater than expected and close to double what we had last year (for a Sturt game).

Can't fault the support of the AFC during the week.
1) Two Crows players joined the Eagles DO at some school clinics during the week and a good amount of the free passes given out of these clinics came back to Woodville yesterday.
2) We also worked with the Crows re promotion to their members during the week and this led to about 3 stories being send out covering the match.

Having a Crows promotion at the game can be problematic. Through the IGA tent and Eagles lucky dip a lot of Crows kids collected some Eagles items. Not sure if it is beneficial for us to promote the Crows direct at the game. Was easier when we had players who played for both.

Crowd was 2,265 with a much larger porportion of kids than normal.

Considering all the promotional effort and free tickets for numbers to drop down like that in 12 months is very concerning.
There really hasn't been one positive sign about the AFL reserves this year as far as crowds go.

Was surprised with the crowd figure, expected it to be closer to 3000 than 2000, seemed to build up in the last 10-15 mins before the game started.

My partner and I weren't in a position to tell much other than that the crowd was much bigger than our last visit, but given that was sub 1500 that wasn't hard.

My partner and I weren't in a position to tell much other than that the crowd was much bigger than our last visit, but given that was sub 1500 that wasn't hard.

Awful crowds all round, the SANFL is in ruins thanks to letting the cancerous AFL sides in.

Very little discussion about this game. I didn't see it but I would've thought if West Torrens are as good as a lot of you say wouldn't they have kicked Adelaide off the park? Overrated football side, with one very overrated player!!

Still can't get over that total pantsing they gave you? I think the majority of norwood fans understand the quality of their potential grand final opponent for 2015. Keep posting though I'm sure there's something you could say that'll help the redlegs win next time these two sides clash.

It's fair to say im not concerned about anyone at the moment. Benny Warren has got them playing okay football at this stage and we will only improve. Woodville have peaked about 9 rounds to early.

I think the Weagles fans would like that. In fact, I think they'd even supply the boots for him to wear.

Surely it's not trolling if everything i have said is correct? They are a very precious club down there. Cant wait until they play at the parade, hopefully these supporters hang around for a beer.
