No disrespect to Tim but this kind of thing is further evidence of the decline of the SANFL that they are now at a point they are 'desperate' for players

How did he go

Agree probably 5 years to late and no doubt back then would have given league footy a crack

I thought both games were crackers. The Bay's aren't that bad, My god are they young tho. South probably just a touch more class in the end, as the bay's burnt the footy a fair bit.

Thought for South #15, #9 and #36 were very good and for the bay's #11 did as he pleased best on the ground for mine #20 was pretty good and I liked number 3 as well. No idea of there names

Some huge hits as I sat right down at boundary level. Felt like good old fashion footy if that makes sense.

great post!

He went pretty well actually. Kicked 2.3 had about 15 touches and a few tackles. Got a huge holding the ball right in the middle of the ground as the bay's were making a fair come back.

Would've been pretty hard not knowing anyone's name to be a small forward at 5ft nothing and 70kgs

11 disposals (8 effective), 5 cont poss, 1 tackle, 3 inside 50s, 2.3 score, 1 goal assist

Solid debut!

Absolutely nothing wrong with our effort today; South just a bit more clean and efficient. A few times were able to really catch us out on the rebound from their defense.

Crowd was 1,862.
No Surrender!

Brett Eddy is certainly playing with no confidence atm. Took a mark in the last quarter and instead of going back to have a shot on goal decided to handball it and even that didn't hit a target

Other sides have worked him out and I personally feel he is playing too far up the ground. Needs to sit back and lead from the square.

Good to see Haren kick a couple .

Was thinking do we play him one out in the goal square?

Watched a few ex South boys in the Hills league yesterday and one of them if he got his body right would be a handy addition at CHF

Agreed. Would like to see him playing closer to goal. I guess its all about the full-field "press" these days though...

Pleasing to get back on the winners list. Just a little more poise and experience than the Bays when it mattered. Still a long way to go, but at least we took the game on more today and ran the footy.

Liked the games of Murphy, Liddle, Redigolo and Kerin. Haren presented a lot harder and was good, especially in the first half.

Milera and N. Daniel had a great duel, with Daniel taking some great marks and throwing his body around, while Milera showed his class with 5 goals.

1862 the crowd. A wasteful South won the ressies by a couple of goals.

Hourigan has been having a good year for Hahndorf, the Maggies having gone from bottom to top. Would like to see him back at South next season.

Well done to the South U18s on winning their first game for the year, 17.21 to 9.8.

Not the first time in recent years the 18s have sprung a surprise result against the Bays.

Best part of the day was when the scoreboard attendant racked up a Panther goal on Glenelg's scoreline. Hilarity ensued.

I’m not sure if it’s been the same bloke doing the Noarlunga scoreboard each week, but just about every match has had a screw-up of the scores at one stage. Shouldn’t be that difficult to perfect!

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It must be contagious as the guy on the scoreboard at Oval Avenue is no better. His excuse - his phone was on charge and he couldn't use the calculator on it!!
