Best game I've seen Goldy play... & he's played a few good ones. Can't believe he hasn't been drafted.
He would absolutely star in a team like Geelong. Personally, I think he could be as good a small forward as Milne.

Must say though, I do feel somewhat numb like the others.

Was it Goldsworthy who took that grab in the South-East pocket, landed and checksided it through? One of the best goals I have seen for many a year!

I reckon 7 of those would have been from Max Thring.

Dont you have to be at least near a contest to give away a free kick?

As for my team....another wasted year. I had at least the time post match to discuss today's effort with the Coach, Football Manager and CEO and sadly we were all on the same page. The words soft, insipid, indecisive, undisciplined and front running etc. were bandied about freely but take nothing away from the Eagles who exposed North badly, albeit Centrals and Sturt did so in the previous 2 games also.

You know what, they've been saying that for past 3 weeks. Are they going to do anything about it other than apologise on Facebook and Twitter?

Godden's tactics in the first quarter were interesting, going with North man on man all over the ground and it seemed to work. Felt like deja-vu at half time with North getting back into the game and the Eagles not taking the game on as in the first quarter as in the first game at Prospect this year. Second half was really impressive as we shut down North's outside run which we have trouble with. Powell a captains game (if only he could kick better!), Raymond a rock in defence, Goldy a brilliant second half after a quiet first half and all of the juniors contributed in some way. Need to win at least one of Nwd or WA to get top 3 and avoid a dangerous looking Central in elim final.

Yeh, Centrals might fancy some revenge in an elimo with the Roasters ;)
On that form at least Norwood will get a solid contest in 2 weeks and we need to be tested against defense first teams as we haven't had a run for a long time now.

Another typical year as a Rooster supporter. Look fabulous one week and completely crap the next and the next and the next. Coaching? I don't think so, not this time round. So what is it ? I am damned if I can work it out.
It was plain and simply, an embarrassment, seriously, an embarrassment , to stand there and watch the pathetic efforts of some of our supposedly better players. Embarrassing.
Right in front of us, on the members wing, for all to see as clear as day, some of the most pathetic attempts at a smother you would ever see. Plain and simple, a scared of the thought of getting hurt, piss weak school boy shocker. Words can not completely describe how utterly embarrassing it was. Direct , pin point pass's, straight to an unmanned Eagles player 10's of metres in the clear. It could not get any worse.
The word has been used and it is completely correct, dismantled. By a far superior side. SAfe to say that that is about it for the NAFC for 2013 unless, at home in front of a diminishing crowd of faithfuls [ how many there yesterday ?], they can absolutely thump Glenelg. Doubtful

With the draw for the last few weeks North, West and Eagles should all be on 24 points with one game to play and with West and eagles playing in the last round, it will probably come down to percentage on who finishes 4th or 5th unless one of North or Eagles beat norwood in the last teo games

We won't beat Glenelg the way we are playing at present so that will ensure a slow painful end to 2013.

Glenelg are due a win but I don't see how North will play as badly as they did against the Eagles in the second half against Glenelg next week.

as they did against Sturt and as they did against Central, I said the same after each of those games so I reckon they can do it again!
