It could be read that it counts as a game if he is cleared this week when North confront Norwood making him eligible for the finals but yes its either very poorly written or incorrect.

That will be great, wont it!!!!

As I've said before, it would be interesting if a wright and Johnston against north or a grigg against Norwood were the difference to knock these teams out the finals. The $50k, may not look so attractive if it costs a flag.

Great news for us, well all teams really. North are a different team with Johnston, brings them back into picture in my books.

Who would posters "value" most for a finals team;
Petrenko, Johnston, wright, callinan or grigg?

Callinan and his forward line prowess was badly missed when Centrals last played the Deadlegs. I think he will make a huge difference.

Being selfish and greedy, I also want Colquhon back after next week.

I was going to ask the same question

Pretty sure its still the same.

You mean the rule is still the same? If so, why then is Wright being mentioned about possibly playing this weekend for North?

I dare say it's just yet another inaccurate story from the Advertiser and it's AFL writers

Talk about a compromised finals series, Porplyzia and Crouch ruled out......
Did The Porpoise do his shoulder on the way to Perth or on the way back....

Yep, can't say I'll miss the current situation next year. If we have 5 genuine teams in the finals series, will be much better. Problem will be if crows or port make it. Hopefully they won't be good enough.

Yeah Aerie. Presuming that neither AFL 2s side makes the finals (I don't believe they will), the irony of the whole disaster is that exclusion of all AFL-listed players from the SANFL finals will actually improve the integrity of the competition at the pointy end!

The shame is that fewer people will care, but that's another argument.

Can anyone tell me whether Paul Stewart is eligible to play finals?

As far as I can see he has played 3 games, wasn't selected for Power the week of the state league game, or round 12 when the Eagles had the bye (do they count)

I doubt he would be qualified. I would expect if Port lose as expected Friday night, then at least him and Mitchell won't play and that would be them done for the season. That's just a guess.
