hard to believe north have gone from a possible premiership favourite, to a team @ this stage just fighting for the double chance in just two weeks.

Most teams have a rough patch somewhere in the season
Its how you are playing at the business end that matters

I understand that it was more about the them fighting for a double chance and not that I think they can't win the premiership. I hope they can't win it at our expense anyway.

Make no mistake North are a serious contender and will play deep into the finals this year. Should make the Granny and could very well win it.

I reckon they need Johnston though - what are his prospects for a return from the Crows for the rest of the minor round and the finals?

Very Doubtful. Will play the remainder of the year with the Crows and if Essendon are kicked out of the finals and The Crows go undefeated for the rest of the year they could slot in the empty spot.

If they don't I can't see them releasing him for SANFL finals. Sanderson is anti-SANFL and why would he let a player play finals when he will get his own SANFL team the next season.

Re Sanderson, he allowed the Crows players who qualified last year to play and I believe as part of the AFL Ressies debate and in the interest of goodwill, they (the AFC) have said they will release their qualified players this year. Johnston didn't have much impact vs North Melbourne and if it wasn't for injuries he would still be in the SANFL however I think he will play out the minor round with the Crows.

Johnston missed 8 games in the middle of the season and we did ok without him. I doubt, given the way the rest of the team played, that he would have been the difference in our last two losses.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.
