Agree with the best players people are putting up.

But in anyone else think Sammy Colquohon had a cracker?
Was definitely in my best with O'hara and Waldhuter.

Also thought Dowdell was very handy in the ruck with conditions like they were.

The lightning.
It crossed my mind more than once, that I was standing there drenched holding an umbrella which has a metal spike on top.

Between the Dogs crowd's umbrellas and the West supporter's metal hip replacements there could have been an interesting chain lightning scenario!

Im sure that is Norwood's fault somehow.
After all West play an exciting brand of football and it is Norwood who play scrappy ugly football according to their supporters

Unfortunately or fortunately was unable to see the game...or hear it. Looks like West might have dropped the ball on this one as they did with South. By the scores it, there didn't appear to be too much in it.

Feeling a bit self conscious Jim? I thought it was just your supporters who were ugly and scrappy?

Colquhoun was great, although that 90s boy-band hair cut makes me giggle a little.

Winter football was on display and it was all about the result. Unfortunately it was not what we wanted.

Wet weather football is about the inches and a little bit of luck. We made some poor decisions with the footy especially going inside 50 that probably cost us. Our start was not ideal allowing 3 goals to 1 and the margin was similar by the end of the game.

Having 5 losses is not ideal for a team aspiring to be a genuine contender. It comes down to focussing on the next game. We need to keep it simple and focus on the little things in our performance. The bottom line is that it was a close encounter today and the game could have gone either way so we need to move on quickly and prepare for next week.
