I will give him the benefit of the doubt re what he is actually referring to but if he is having a sooky whinge about something that North had done then it is pretty poor form IMO?

Our performance wasn't great that night so hopefully he is talking about our players needing to step up

That's how I first took it so I am sure it is that reference. The same could be said about North too so given that and how we played last week let's hope we come out firing in what should be a classic encounter, not pretty but a good solid contest - with us winning of course!

Would rather Collins than Massie any day of the week. One of the best coaches and blokes the club has ever had. Ever met him Dedja?

I heard Collins was upset by some North players allegedly trying to play attacking footy and kick goals. "A blight on the game" someone heard. Hell, North might even be getting spectators through the gate to watch them play footy, we can't have that!
West are going the thump tomorrow as it worked so well in the 91 Grand Final and every final since to try and teach North a lesson.

It was only for a Foxtel Cup berth. But yes, I did conveniently put that one out of my memory!
I can be forgiven though as every game against West under Collins is forgettable. ;)

I sincerely feel sorry for you and West fans, I'd rather watch North lose by 100 points every week than have to watch the crap Ive seen at West games in the last couple of years.

I must say though, this year has seen more attacking and attractive football, especially early in the year. I do worry though that when the pressure is on, we appear to revert back to our old habits.

I have been very impressed with West so far this year, good solid team with good height and depth and it appears trying to play a more attacking style although against us in Round 4 it was hard to say that game was.

You don't care that you're getting less people to the game when you're struggling financially?
In essence you're saying you don't care about the survival of your own club.
That's sad. :(

And there lies the problem, when challenged we go back to old game plans, that's my only fear this year against north and Norwood etc

Yep that's what I was saying Wedgie

Members got an email Friday stating that crowds are up, members are up and finances are up on last year and the selling of 5 poker machines has paid a lot of debt off

Don't agree, same game plan but the pressure on the ball user is greater and it's our skill level that lets us down. Improved skill level will create higher scores against the higher ranked sides
