Maybe umpiring is getting too complicated. Umpires should be looking for blatant infringements, letting the 50/50 ones go. Keep it nice and simple. Make for a faster game also. It would also help if ex players got more involved in umpiring. I'm sure if umpires were paid better, you would get better quality.
