Reigning Premiers who have lost one game and are playing home are the underdogs, I doubt it

First time in years that the ANZAC day game hasn't been televised. Televising the game is almost a tradition as the ANZAC day game itself.

p.s. I would still go if it was televised, just wondering why its not being televised.

The Eagles v Central ANZAC Day game @ Woodville was NOT televised last year.

It is because the SANFL and ABC only have an agreement to telecast one game a weekend, which will be traditional Saturday afternoon time slot. Has nothing to do with it being at Coopers, although from an infrastructure point of view, I believe that venue is the hardest for ABC to set up broadcast from.

There will be a couple of Norwood games on TV in a few weeks, from memory, you have back to back home televised games...

It's all about infrastructure and cost reduction, tradition doesn't come into the equation...

Perfect opportunity for the SANFL to put it online and test the waters for 2014.

How do the performances last week take some lustre off the game?
Just curious.

Because before last weekend I thought these sides were clearly the two best sides in the comp and I was excited that West were now playing attacking footy. Both my thoughts were shattered.
Still has the potential to be a good game but I am no longer expecting a rip snorter like I was a week ago.
I was excited before but now I'm in fear it'll be similar to their two finals last year. Hopefully my fear is completely misplaced and wrong.

Norwood would want to improve 100% against their dreadfully lacklustre performance against Centrals and, from all reports, the Eagles to stand any real chance in this game.

Hoping that some potential inclusions can increase our run and carry otherwise we'll continue to look like the stagnant and reactive team we have for the last few weeks.

I have a couple of FREE double passes, courtesy of RPH Adelaide, for this ANZAC Day clash tomorrow.

First in best dressed...

If you are interested, send me a PM with your name and I will put them in an envelope and leave them at the ticketing hut, out the front of Coppers Stadium, for you to pick up tomorrow...

Thomas a huge out for the Legs whilst Webber and Campbell are out, clear edge in the midfield to Westies. Still I think we should improve on Fridays effort, hopefully by enough to grab a better result. Close game either way I think.

Will be a close game but Westies have a ton of players in form, and I'm not sure Norwood have improved on last year. They'd want to improve on last week - they didn't play badly, but were second to the ball and wilted occasionally under the tackling pressure of the Eagles. I'm gonna go West by 10 points.

No mate, it is not...

The Eagles v Central game @ Woodville last year wasn't either. ABC just contracted to do one game a week...

Luckily Ch 7 aren't televising the game, they might have let slip the final score during one of the advert breaks ;)

I thought the ABC contract was to televise a Saturday (minor round) game each weekend which gave them the opportunity to televise games held during the week, eg ANZAC, Interstate games. Or perhaps the contract has changed :?:
