Pathetic display today

The players were committed but the style of game needs reviewing - Too often we had the ball and there was no one to kick it long to.
I cant convince friends or even my own kids to watch us at the moment. I feel the squad has enough talent to take the game on more but when you start with a gale and load the backlines up with 8, it set a mindset we cant win. I know norwood also had 8 in defence, but why not make it an 8 on 8 forward line and take them on.... maybe I should simmer before posting this

Give a stuff about anyone's opinion of what constitutes a spectacle? GIRFUY. Wasn't aware you got style points in footy.

What has got me F---ed is that Norwood have the best side on paper and on the field for real, why wouldn't you play the best most attacking way possible and show the world your No.1 in 2012. I'd hate my team to roll that way for six months, what a f---ing BORE!

We had only 2 less inside 50's than North today.
Trust me we were trying to score

Brad Fisher and Nat Caruso will be sweating on selection this week. After breaking team rules by venturing into the forward half they could face the axe.

We kick 15 6 today and we're not the story, West and Andy Collins are.

Last time I checked we won the second semi by 41 pts.

Only listened on the radio. Can anyone comprehend a "plan" that stacks the back line like that when you have the wind?
Did west kick a goal with the wind? Collins has had this plan for about five years, and made the finals once. Not a great plan surely (and I know it worked against us). I imagine for westies supporters it would be pretty disheartening. Especially as the team can kick goals and move the ball fast when given the opportunity. They have strong players on every line, on paper, in reality they're all in defence.
If westies win the gf, Collins will finally be right. If not he's wasted five years. All this regimented structure rubbish, sometimes teams should just play. Neil Craig of last year comes to mind.

Their was only one team who was trying to score goals today and i can tell you that we did not have black on our jumper. For 1/4 and a 1/2 the ball was stuck in our forward line with 16 west players in it. Stop blamming both of us blame west. In the second west started chipping the ball around and taking great amounts of time to kick it because they were not even intereted in scoring. 8 13 to 2 5, wests score was not just our good backline it was their lack of interest in trying to kick forward.

West looked a different team to last week. Scotch was on sale at BWS.

Quite possibly.

Wasn't really my issue today though.

Did you get the bit about Scotch on sale? It's important. To me.

Three highlights from today...

1. Norwood qualifying for a chance to win our 28th premiership.
2. Watching Westies 21 defenders form a huddle on the oval at the end of the game.
3. Hearing Central fans singing their version of hey jude when 88 points adrift.

As opposed to the huddle they formed in defensive 50 for 120 mins?

Simply put, Norwood played a game to beat West today. On Grand Final day, they will play a game to beat that opponent.
