Norwood won with a very effective used of the 4-5 goal breeze in the third quarter.
The game was played in blustery conditions with both sides struggling to take full advantage in attack.
Norwood had first use and could only managed a three point lead with Sturt having a 30 possession lead in the first quarter. The Blues used a short passing running game.
Norwood dominated the first 10 minutes of the second quarter into the breeze and goals to Dylsn Reinbricht, Mark Evans and Trent Dumont gave the Legs a 12 point lead going into time on. James Wundke kicked a late goal to make it four points at half time.
Norwood dominated the third term kicking four goals and having 15/4 inside 50s to stretch their lead to 34 points.
Norwood's defence held firm in the last quarter with Gavin Hughes (plenty of run and rebound), Luke Thomas, Chase Bower, Josh Allen and Jack O'Leary on top.
In the Norwood Stats box we had Mitch Grigg (31 possessions and plenty of strength around the packs), Michael Illegio (very good on clearances), Gavin Hughes (run and carry), Peter Persinos (X factor - especially in the second quarter where he was relentless in keeping the ball in attack) and Alex McKay in our best players.
