There was a great interview on ABC 891 by Peter Walsh with Cica before the Prelim Final last year: http://mpegmedia.abc.net.au/local/adela ... 736520.mp3

Loyal, dedicated and gave his all for the jumper. A legend of the Eagles. Congratulations Cicca on a remarkable career - commitment never questioned - and a great bloke.

Aerie wrote:Cica is a champion. Up there with the very best from the Eagles. Will always be talked about around the family dinner table like people such as Head and Hank still are when we talk about the mighty Eagles from generation to generation.

Will never forget his 2006 Grand Final. He stood up in that game like champion players do. Has been consistently one of the best for a long time. His evasiveness and vision are absolutely top class. The amount of times you think he is about to be tackled and he gets away will live on in the memory.

Will never forget him signing my 9 month old daughters Eagles guernsey she was wearing as she was sound asleep in her pram on Grand Final night last year. He was extremely humble and thankful to the supporters. He has given us supporters much joy watching him through the years and always gives his best.

Well done Cica. Always a legend.

Great post Aerie. His evasiveness and vision have made him such a creative player. Many times, particularly earlier in his career, I'd be on the verging of swearing at him for not disposing when he had the chance, only for him to get out of a tight spot and set up something better. After a while I came to trust adn enjoy it.

Thought he was almost done in 2008 or 09(?) with injuries, but fought back brilliantly to win the 2010 b+f and flag last year to really confirm his greatness. Certainly up there with the best post-1991 players not to win a Magarey.

A day you never think will come, it just won't be the same.
