Why hasn't Martyn been given a go?

He is a midfielder and I see his name in the best players most weeks.

Parry is a necessary signing but I believe he feels his body is nearly stuffed in regards to league football, maybe six weeks off during pre-season to go skiing could entice him to continue.
Angus Poole definitely needs to be given a go at league level just to find out if he can play at that level, can find the ball in bundles.
Nick Joyce and Cameron Ellis-Yolmen are coming along nicely in the reserves and also in their limited league appearances, would hope they become league regulars next year.

Thought Joyce was reasonable enough in the only league game I saw him v Sturt, but then got injured. Is that the only one he has played? Thought he may have been given another chance the way we have been going.

Last reserves match Nick Joyce had 30 touches.
Sam Martyn has improved markedly in the last couple of matches, but he is not an instinctive footballer. Runs hard and carries the football but then gets lost looking to do something with it. His background is soccer and athletics and he may be just taking a little time to come to grips with this level of football.

Right now the elephant in the clubrooms at Oval Ave is Craig Parry.
One could argue that over the three years he's played at the club, he's been and still is our most important player. One that sets the tone with his commitment to compete and win. If we had a better mix of run and carry to go with the scrapping on the ground midfield types, Parry's work would be rated even higher.
Parry's contract or lack of one, must be the No.1 issue for now....... recuiting starts at Oval Ave Goddsy?

Is Parry worth another well paid contract despite having several body issues that need constant attention and won't improve now he's getting closer to the 30 year old mark. Can he be convinced the club will recruit enough to make another stint worth his sacrifice and put off a well deserved rest.
Surely Eagles fans would love this to happen asap and some really positive news on Parry would lift everyone
after a season littered with some truly horrible efforts.... priority No.1 ??? :)
