WOW! thought we were gone mid last quarter. Glad to get to the win in what wasnt a great performance by us.

The North side we played today is one that is more likely to push for that 3rd spot on the ladder rather the side that played Port and looked like they would be in the mad scramble for 5-8!

We just cant seem to find a decent match up for Stewart seems to kill us every time.

Anyway we move on now and hopefully smack Sturt at Dog Poo Park!

p.s was great to catch up with Smac, Wedgie and OTR!

The RSL has killed my head today!

Highlight of the Day

Second Quarter Big Bad Jack Hannath takes a mark in the North Western Pocket 25-30 out from goal. Near where the away side runs onto the field.

The Crowd are hanging over the fence booing and hissing.

He goes back and dobs it straight through the middle!!!!!!!!!!

Turns to the mini league kids on the fence who were booing him and gives it to them with a double fist pump and F**k yeah!!!!!

CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good day out yesterday apart from the result but at least we had a decent crack (why don't we play with that intensity every week?).

Good to catch up with the "Northern Drinking Alliance" - Centurion, UK Fan and of course my favourite mate WHUFC! Lots of beers and red wine and Centurion was so grateful for our hosting he gave Wedgie a red wine souvenier to take home! :-)

Could CD v NA be the new NWD v PA? We seem to have a lot of close, hard * tussles with them of late.

It's reminding me more of the Port Adelaide vs West Adelaide tussles of the late 1950s and early 1960s. They used to have magnificent battles but Port almost always just prevalied. In the last 4 matches, Central have won by 7 points, North by 29 points, Central by 3 points and Central by 6 points. In the last two matches, North have been in front into time on and in the other 7 point loss North were only 1 point down with 15 seconds to play when two inexperienced North players rightly took a huge risk, turned the ball over and Central goaled on the siren.

Central just seem to be too steady and still too physically strong. North's key forwards do seem to bother Centrals defence these days. Alleway kicked 8 goals at ELizabeth last year, Nick Gill kicked 7 and Stewart 4 and Lewis Johnston 5 goals yesterday.

I drank with UK Fan too but he's still banned. ;)
It was funny asking Centurion when his ban ran out though as he knew the exact minute he could get back on.
