This is correct. It is no good having a membership and always paying at the gate as the club misses out. Many great supporters are not members which is fine. If you are unable to get to the games, so be it. I always get the full package and I give away the AFL tickets on the proviso that the recipient comes to at least one South game. I have converted one non going footy fan to a South supporter who now attends regularly.
