Say what you like re off field support but on the field this has to be one of the most successful mergers in South Australian sport .... well at least since the unoffcial merger between the Medindie Dingoes and North Adelaide in 1893 (please note due humble homage being paid to NAFC)

Pretty good off the field too I reckon, regardless of supporter numbers. WWT appears to go out of its way to pay homage to the history of both W and WT. I s'pose this is necessary in order to placate the old fans, but in effect WWT is paying far better service to its roots than any of the other 8 clubs.
If my mob was ever to bite the bullet and merge (and note that I am pitching an extreme hypothetical here) then I hope that they'd use the W & WT merger as a model.
