Agreed. Hardy looked a little off the pace last week. Had Chris Gowans sitting next to us for a while in the first half and he seemed to be pretty frustrated with some of his decision making.

I like Hardy as a defender, he's solid enough and disciplined enough to become a real strength.I think over the last couple of years once he's started to get his groove down there he's either got hurt or been moved into the ruck and just not got the form back in time and ended up playing reserves at the end of the year. Once he gets some uninterrupted footy under his belt there I think he'll start to make it his own. Particularly with Sibenaler out we do lack a really strong body.

Yep me and all my mates have said how unlucky he has been over the years, like you said every time he seems to start playing real solid he ends up being moved around or injured.

In saying that though i would like to see his stats for running over 5 meters and his sprinting times, i get the feeling his pretty slow of the mark and does get a beat a fair bit with the kick over the back and players then running into an open goal. We need Hardy playing well if we are to challenge for the flag.

Also, I think if we realised what injuries he's carried, we'd be even more impressed with his efforts.

Yeah we spoke to him in the after match pressos against the Eagles and he was wearing the moon boot and said he had a couple of fractures in his foot from when an Eagles player landed on him.

He was named the next week against South and everyone was certain he was the player out but he ended up playing which shocked everyone, it couldnt have pulled up* well because the next week he was an out with the injury.

Any word on whether Hynes & Jenner are available or not? They both had hammies iced before the game ended but no injuries were reported in the match reports, (which i know are not always reliable). I'm clinging to hope that they were just precautionary measures taken when the game was won :?

Spoke to Hynes after the game and he said to me it was just a bit of a niggle and he should be alright so i guess he will either play this week or be out for up to 4 games. ;) Was walking alright after the game though.

Yes, I was thinking about that the other night and mentioned it elsewhere.

If it is in fact the last time Chris and James take the field at Elizabeth it would be good to see a big crowd there to see them off.

Important game for Centrals in the reserves.
Whoever wins makes the five.
It could be advantageous for the club if the ressies make it with the league team going straight to the 2nd semi.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Particularly with some key dogs needing a game under their belt. Go Roosters!

Would someone like a Gowans be allowed to play in the first reserves final if he missed this week or does he need to have qualified by playing there during the year?

As long as the said players League side is in the finals series, I'm pretty sure they can be played in the reserves, even if the league side has a week off in finals.
