Sorry guys i reckon Hayes will get a game from the report.

Was very close to the incident and at no stage were his eyes on the ball, was late as well and made pretty decent contact.

Callinan was good obviously lacked a bit of touch due to not playing in so long but was pretty good value for his possesions.

It happened right in front of me and it wasn't that late. If he gets a game then I think I'll hang up my scarfe and go follow rugby because there is no way I will follow the SANFL if it becomes like the AFL.

Balderdash.

At worst, the double chance might come into question.

but "season on the line"?

Pure hyperbole.

unfortunalty if it goes by the AFL definition of charging he would have to get a game wouldnt he, may be saved by good record and only recieve a reprimand but i cant possibly see him not being guilty of charging.

Most bizarre decision of the day had to be the 25m penalty to McKenzie in the first qtr when the ball was thrown back to him promptly and with the appropriate pace and trajectory

Poor 1st half performance from the Dogs & Umps - although credit to the Eagles who definitely showed more urgency. Eags could/should have been further in front if they had taken the game on more instead of playing safe, possesion type footy.

Impressive lift in intensity and work rate in the second half by Centrals - although Eags would be disappointed that they didnt respond until far too late.

Dogs should clinch the Minor Premieship now...
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

This is what's worrying me about SANFL football. We seem to be slowly going like the AFL, starting with soft reports. I don't like it!

Hmmm... still too close to call for me - it will probably hinge on whether we can beat Norwood at Elizabeth in Round 22...

According to AdelaideNow

"Gowans was best on ground and must be strongly considering playing on in 2012, although his game was marred by a late hamstring injury."

FFS the whole injury thing is beyond a joke now, can we just keep some blokes on the park.

Interestingly am i right in saying the fitness coach from the last few years Nathan(?) Casserly had retired and this year a new fitness coach was employed, i know the Nash, Obst, Dutschke injuries were unavoidable but there has been alot of hamstring, driver type injuries this year

Bumped into Chris Gowans as I was leaving and he looked pretty annoyed. Asked him what was wrong and he said he had done the hammy quite bad, he was not happy at all.

It was Nathan Casserly who retired as fitness coach of Central, to concentrate on a young family (he is married to Glen Cooper's daughter) and a career in Real Estate.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the club appointed anyone specifically to take over from Casserly, I think assistant coach Gavin Chaplin does a fair bit of the fitness work with the players and Terry Whitelaw is the strength and conditioning coach.

I think the Dogs are just having some bad luck with injuries this year, nothing to do with a fitness coach or lack thereof.

I don't believe there's been a fitness coach this year, as such. Luke McCabe has taking the running. Whilst eddy, Chad, hardy, boots, occasionally the twins, willow, and o'hara have done some pre-season boxing and cross training. When the players are injured they sometimes do some boxing cross training also. As you mentioned, Most injuries, Boyd, o'hara, dutschke, obst, Nash and slattery, have been "structural" or unlucky collision based. James, chris, havelberg and haysee have been muscle related as has been the case for havelberg and hayseed previously. Not really sure what thommos was. Weve probably had the same amount of muscle tissue injuries as previous years, but a ridiculous amount of collision injuries.

They say there are only 2 things FOR SURE in life, death and taxes, but in all honesty if anyone was there from the umpiring board surely you would think commonsense would prevail. Then again
