How bad were we? I think we played better in both games agaisnt Centrals this year. Certainly didn't play any worse.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

So 1 game and some Glenelg supporters are carrying on like their mannagement ,the same mob who they defend. Just relax you were beaten by the side 1 spot below you on the table .
I thought all was good last week ?Massie was the man ,the Messiah I think I read somewhere.

Oh well ,chin up it's only 1 bad game but don't take credit away from South .I can see with the same list in tact and a couple of key recruits they will finally give it a real crack in a year or 2.

They got rid of Mickan as they believed he would not take them to finals and thought Massie was the man to take them there.

Quite a bewildering decision. I am sure the Glenelg faithful would be scratching their heads over their CEO's and managements decision to make this call. :shock:

After watching today the Bays are nowhere near a finals side. :oops:

On the other hand, South have made the tough calls and swept out the players that did not want to be there or were there with the wrong intentions. They were highly criticised for this by other clubs and other SAFooty posters. Slowly the puzzle is coming together and I can see a bit of light at that end of the tunnel. :D

As per DOC's post after we beat Sturt, we have no place commenting on the state of affairs of other clubs, enjoy the win, keep it in perspective.
We have have alot of ground to make up before we can start to sprout off.

about the only time i can recall souf beating us in a crucial game was back in '06, so its hardly a habit man :shock:

Ah well;
Great win by the lads today. 1 pt behind at 3/4 time -7 goals to zip in the last quarter to take the choccys.
Thewlis, Liddle, Stribling Gotch and Cross were very good . Thought Bass was pretty good in the ruck, and McKernan after recieving some "encouraging words"........ from Ron at 3/4 time finally had an influence in the last quarter.
As for "the palindromes", well I didnt notice them and I dont really care.
Umpiring = inconsistent, incompetent.
Such a pleasing win against our favourite team to beat- when it really counts.
Did someone mention the B---- word?

Without sounding like a smart rear end, I suspect it would have been a very long time since South have had ALL of their 3 grades win in the one day.

Well done to Jason Torney and the Panther Under 18's.

I heard Adam Cockshell got dropped to the 2's, assuming because of Shaun McKernan coming in?

How did Cocky go in the magoos?

Geez if it was horseracing, South would be swabbed, and Glenelg would be shot.

I was just thinking the same thing, I doubt they have won all 3 grades on the same day. If we sub the under 18's with the under 19's I still think it would have been a while. Stunned at that under 18 result. South need some more of those to give the lads down that way to stick with the system. This is turning into a very good year in souths attempts to move forward as a club.

Or Heath Shaw would get 14years instead of 14 weeks. Would love to have had $10 on those 3 results occurring. Could then afford to get Malthouse to Richmond Oval for the next decade.
