Money might be the reason why PA miss the 5
They have travelled twice this year for the Foxtel Cup
The results of the games after travelling
A 100 point loss to NW
A loss to GL by 14 points at Alberton [in the other 2011 Alberton game PA beat GL]
Was it worth PA being in this comp, were they in it for $$$$ ?????

This will be the 3rd time these 2 sides meet in 2011 in the Home and Away season
Not 1 game at Alberton
Again was it for $$$$$$ ??????
Did PA give up a home Alberton game to play at AAMI in round 1 ?
Did NW agree to this if PA played a scheduled Alberton game at Norwood in one of the next 2 games in 2011 ?
Whatever the reason its unbelievably unfair to play a team 3 times without a Alberton game

Will all of this cost PA a finals berth ?

PA knew there were two games at Coopers later in the season when the 1st round game was moved to Aami. I believe it was PA's choice that the game was moved there so not playing Norwood at Alberton was PA's choice and their problem. (won't lose sleep over it)

Sometimes there is a bigger picture than just a single game of football. Port Adelaide moved a couple of their home games to Footy Park to gradually start bringing the supporter bases together. The AFL don't help the situation by enforcing an hour between games making it a long day for some. I believe they will be reviewing this long break for next season.

And Brett Duncanson said the Foxtel Cup was important to start getting games and match experience into our young players. I believe the rationale is sound and hope they get the opportunity again next year. Tony Bamford already put his hand up for PAFC inclusion in 2012.

Yeah thats my mail aswell.
He will struggle to get a kick for them, he is still far from fit. A couple of times on Sunday he was unable to turn or chase, looked very proppy still.

Just a question on the SANFL split round. If AFL players like Walker,Maric etc play AFL this weekend but are dumped for next weekend are they allowed to play SANFL next weekend. Obviously they could only play for Sturt or Central ressies as everyone else has bye.

My thoughts are they would be allowed to play for their League Teams, but not 100% sure about that.

So we could have a unique scenario where an AFL player plays twice in the one SANFL round. Hypothetically Walker could play for Norwood this week and Centrals ressies next week therefore gaining two games qualification from 1 round. Just a thought

Would count as 2 games if he misses both Crows matches regardless of how many SANFL league/reserves matches he plays. You need to look at it as 'How many AFL games missed when fit to play' rather than 'How many SANFL games played'. However this year is unique because if AFL team has the bye, and player plays SANFL that week, then it counts also.
But from next year just look at how many AFL games missed when fit to play and that gives you the SANFL finals qualification. Thats in simple terms but I understand that there are some nuances in some cases.

As for playing reserves for another SANFL club I thought that is only if player is returning from injury and home club has the bye/week off? So i wouldnt think a player is allowed to play 2 in one round...

So is there a potential for any AFL listed players who dont get picked next week to play for Central or Sturt ressies. They could have up to 20 AFL players running around in the 1 reserves match next week

Our tall forwards may struggle in the wet so Bass might have to change his setup.
I believe Walker will be back with Crows but Zorzi and Campbell will come back in. Not sure if Doyle will come up, appeared to be a bit proppy towards the end on sunday

Surely you're fishing.

Port Adelaide continue to have the highest Membership and respectable crowds (even when sitting near the bottom of the ladder), while your mob wont even venture beyond West Terrace.

here we go again, IF you have the highest real membership, why don't you have the highest attendance?
