Shattered with todays result despite Central being the top side of the competition. Its great to say that we played a better game and so on, yet it also shows that there is much more work needed to be done to make our side competitive.

Sorry to hear that Obst got injured, he is a class act as a player and will be missed from the SANFL in general, hopefully it proves not to be as bad as what they are thinking when the scans are through.

A pretty good game, thought the wind blew straight across the ground and didnt favour either end. Souths 2nd quarter is where they lost the game-4 goals to 8 by centrals. The rest of the game was an arm wrestle. South just didnt have enough poise under pressure but their endeavour was great. Two years ago after a second quarter like that the game would have bee a 12 goal blow out, not now ,which is heartening for the long suffering panther faithful.
I thought the umpiring was pretty ordinary but in saying that probably the best I've seen this year. :? A couple of blatant free kicks to Wundke and Cockshell were missed ,even the centrals fans nearby raised their collective eyebrows.
I assume there were no reports...?

He's one of my favourite non Norwood players, I thought he was unlucky with injuries at the top level otherwise IMO he would've made it.

Hopefully it's not serous.

Was also great to see Chris Gowans give Myke Cook a bath especially in the second quarter. There goes another Crows Spud.

Centrals didn't sing the song after the win today because of the injury to Obst...

''The boys didn't sing the club song. They feel for each other and that is a strong part of our culture - we look after our own.''

well there is probably a pretty good reason why Cook got a bath in the 2nd quarter......he had a lot of difficulty locating the South huddle at quarter time, very hazy and groggy.... ,he must have had too much sun.

I've never heard of that before but it's certainly a nice gesture and one that sits well with a club that plays for each other.

Can honestly say I have never heard so much b*tching bout umpiring in all my life. Every blow of the whistle.

nearly as bad as the south supporters at 3/4 time. Nfi what they were complaining about.

Centrals were top before todays game even though norwood won yesterday. So 1 win more but 0.15% less.
