I reckon the bye came at a great time. I know a few guys were carrying some niggles and 1 or 2 of them might not have been able to play last week if we had a game. Bass let the guys have a few days off and I know some of the interstate lads enjoyed going home for the weekend. The lads are fully refreshed and ready to have a crack at the next 4 games before the split round.
Regarding Phillips im a little staggered he polled a vote on ABC as he only had about a dozen possies and most Port supporters ive spoken to reckon he is due for a spell and is struggling.

TBH even if he plays the 5 SANFL games i would be very surprised if he was allowed to play SANFL finals, i think he will either be trade bait for Adelaide or heading over to New South Wales.
Norwood are good enough to win the flag without him this year imho.

Agreed but im sure all Norwood fans would love to see him run around for perhaps the last time in a red and blue guernsey. The cows wont let him play finals for us

We should win fairly easy. I hope though we start settling a team together and allow the game plan to gel. Tex would be great but we do have the right combinations now in attack without injury
