Research instead of diatribe. Not our Rooch? Never! ;)

Freo are so injury riddled that they had 25 players to choose from on the weekend, so effectively they would be affecting an entire comp for the perceived benefit of three players. One of whom is Byron the Clanger King Schammer... perhaps it's Claremont behind this trying to get him out of their side and stop him coughing up games.

Screw you Rooch! I'm utterly convinced that he's one of the nuffies on Big Footy whining about the SANFL being a leech on them when in reality we've got entire footy clubs being handed less money than a hack like Justin Westhoff earns on his own.

Have Freo suggested where they would get the other 19 players to make up their Reserves side if they had to field one on the weekend? The same issue would arise here. Teams like Collingwood top up their VFL side with players from outside the VFL comp (amateurs etc.), would Adelaide and Port be happy doing that or are they thinking they would just raid SANFL clubs? The latter would be a farce and unacceptable to most SANFL people I'd have thought.

I dont think Freo are that keen to be honest, it's never really been an agenda. Wouldn't surprise me if they're still remembering the days when they had less money than Port and a dedicate reserves team would be an unnecessary cost when there are WAFL clubs willing the play AFL blokes who dont get a run. Freo are just being dragged along with West Coast and if they Eagles get it, then the Dockers will probably have to fall into line.

It could see the ridiculous situation of having three Fremantle based teams in the comp, if a proposed model of an 11 team comp ends up being what happens.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Rucci's job is to sell papers, not to make intelligent balanced articles. And sadly it works. How many people talk about what he's written, and how many people buy the paper just to read what nonsense he's on about today?

Like politicians, journalists are a creation of what appeals to the masses.

But i can see where he is coming from in regards to what you yelled when young bradley went down with a season ending injury.Injured players are not fair game and if my boy was the subject concerned (i.e.Bradley) i would have come down and had words with you. Maybe you thought it was funny but i bet even some of your own supporters thought it wasnt.
Ask yourself. What if it was your boy,or lets say Barrie Robran when he went down after Matthews got him in that state game. How would you react?
GOOD footy supporters actually clap off an injured player whether he's on your side or not.

Do we want to go down the E.P.L. road and have all in brawls at the footy because of dumb comments like that? NO.

Wedgie made a flippant comment at the time of the incident and no-one knew (including Cornes) that the young man had broken his ankleat that time. It looked on first impression he had been badly crucnhed and winded with possible rib damage and he certainly didn't lay there writhing in pain clutching his leg. Had it been that obvious then Wedgie would not have yelled out what he did.

Cornes is pathetic if he has to resort to writing about that after mentioing on his radio show but choose to not report how Chad's mates followed him over looking for a fight! Talk about hypocrtical!

well shock horror,OTR and WLF didnt answer my questions.SANFL doesnt need supporters like you,but i guess when something like this happens to your sons i suppose i'll see you on the news being arrested/ejected from the game.

First off - Bradley was not Cornes son so why would Graham come over other than to use his "profile" and try and start something over a flippant comment as I said and secodnly - you don't know what sort of football supporter I am so keep you personal opinions to yourself.

Also strange no one saw your legs hanging out of Graham's arse when he came over to confront Wedgie as it appears you were present to hear and witness all on that day?

Lastly to quote you, "GOOD football supporters" would know how to spell Barrie Robran's name correctly so we know you fall into the ignorant category.

Rucci is pathetic

His argument has so many holes in it I don't know where to start.

Having the reserves teams in the SANFL is purely a self-serving agenda with the aim solely to benefit the AFL sides. It would do nothing for the SANFL.

If the SANFL decide to relinquish their AFL licences then the clubs would really have no tie to the AFL teams. So what possible purpose would it serve having them in the competition?

And as for Rucci - how about you show some guts and publish the views of some of the other coaches who oppose the concept of AFL reserves team instead of Fuller who is on your payroll

The only hope power and crows have is the SANFL coaches because the ones leading the AFL clubs aren't up to it. Reserves sides for these clubs would only hamper them further :D

The sports section isnt the mainstay of the Advertiser

If they ever did away with the crosswords no one would bother buying a paper

True enough, but like pollies they have the power to set the agenda which is just scary

Rucci loves people commentating as it puts the ill informed , pathetic excuse for a writer in the spotlight . It's easy and everyone on here should do it.Ring the Tiser and say you no longer buy the paper because of him.I don't buy it as the guy makes me cringe , he is quite pathetic and yes I told the Tiser the same. Only way it'll change.

i agree with this & i stopped getting the advertiser home delivery but didn't tell them why (even jack cahill labelled him as ferrett head or something like that :D, iirc ).....however if we put it in perspective he is better than ashley porter ever was
