The walking wounded - literally.
That no. 57 (47 after his injury)... what a leader.
This club gets continually bagged by all & sundary but keep coming back & showing great character - we cop s**t for the merge, we cop s**t for the GF losses, we cop s**t for having very few supporters but we keep coming back, time after time.
If clubs are built on character... then the last 20 years has been full of just that.
Today's victory against all of the odds, sets the club up for the remainder of the year & a tilt @ our 3rd Flag... Centrals are the team to beat, no question, but Woodville West Torrens FC has shown today that they are there abouts.
Godden deserves some credit but 2 things 'shone through' for me today...
Our backline - led by Macca (who must now be @ least equal favorite with James Allen for the medal @ this early stage) - they were superb.
Parry in ruck - he is the BEST big man in the competition IMHO
Go You Eagles!!!

Did i mention anything here about injuries, i have just said that it hasnt taken long for all 3 of them to not be playing in the 'league' side.
Im starting to get worried now, it seems as if you have a fascination with everything i do or write on here. If you wanna take me out on a date just ask.

Piasente, Anderson to return to the B's next week. I assume hartlett will play league and Fergusson to miss Norwood and maybe Williamstown.
Could have schmidt, Fergusson, A. Hartlett all available for the game at Elizabeth as well as Piasente, Anderson, Rankine, Homburg. It will be a very different West Adelaide in attack with these players. adding height and making webb a very dangerous 3rd tall to match up on. I think most people would agree that the bloods have done well with such players out. In the past, we would have been destroyed in league games. The club has come a long way from the wooden spoon era two years ago.
Central Districts have had lots of injuries too - Their 2nd tier players have a history of stepping up. I guess I am saying that westies are also starting to build a similar culture to the dogs with our second tier players although our depth isnt quite as good but not far short of you boys from elizabeth.
