Yeah Norwood did at times but nothing as ugly as what West and North did in the last couple of years.

Norwood flooded back a lot but sides have been doing that to North for at least the last 6 years. When North rely on tall high marking forwards it is obvious that you get as many players back to compete with them in the air.

Norwood looked much physically stronger than North. I actually thought that accounted for a lot of the frees where the stronger bodies brushed asidetheir physically weaker opponents. Taylor Walker who looked a man mountain must have given away five or six frees (the only weakness in his game), but a lot of it was because of his strength and fierce attack on the ball.

North aren't having a lot of luck, Cornes got dropped last week and was a big factor for the Bays in the 2nd half, and Walker got dropped this week and kicked 7 for Norwood. :x

And? The Wiggles got Petrenko & Stewart back yesterday, your team must be travelling pretty average if you lose because of 1 player!

We lost because Norwood were the better team. Bigger, taller, stronger more experienced and their skills 50 percent better than us.

North are where we should be - bottom.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Norwood too good, Taylor Walker with 7.

How many did the umps get for North?

North got five from frees and Norwood got four from frees. Plus Norwood got another goal when Luke Ivens was clearly tackled without the ball and the umpire was in the wrong position.

The umpires weren['t good, but they had absolutely no impact on the result. Both sides turned the ball over much too often, but Norwood had much more polish plus Taylor Walker who looked like a man amongst boys.North are paying dearly for poor recruiting over the summer. North desperately need a full back Centre Half back hard midfielder crumbing forward and probably a full forward.

He looks absolutely enormous at that level doesn't he!?
I remember thinking that even two years ago. Norwood will be hoping he gets qualified for fianls, could well be the difference (3 or 5 games???).... before he moves to Penrith that it!

Not saying he's done anything wrong, but was Francou at both Prospect yesterday afternoon and Sydney last night? Logistically, a fair effort.

Don't think he was there with AA, from listening to some of the last quarter on my way home from Noarlunga, I thought it was Josh Carr on Special Comments with David Wildy and Tim Ginevar calling?

What made you think he was in Sydney smac and with which media outlet?

Ah, all I heard in the two minutes I listened was them talking about Josh in the commentary box, forgot Josh Carr does some work with them. Thanks for clearing up.

Francou might not have been at the Port game, but I do think his work in the media can't be ideal. It was bad enough with Jarman, who always had that larrikin/clown image he portrayed when he was offering expert opinion (and the fact North were fairly competitive under him) but Francou is straight faced trying to tell everyone what Port and the Crows need to do in order to be succesful. I noticed the other week he did the old Jarman trick of talk up the AFL listed player who tore his side apart. If the heirarchy at North aren't wishing they'd not gone down that track again perhaps they should.

Well he is only a part time coach despite being on good $$$ so unless it directly affects his coaching / commitment to North then he is entitled to seek extra $$$ through media work. His media work is not the reason why North are bottom - his and Greg Edwards selection of recruits and not addressing some depth at Prospect are the problems and the Board needs to take them to task over this ASAP.
