Honestly alot of mates who use to to be massive central fans (would go to all home games plus finals) dont go to minor round games because they have become so predictable at home. They go watch there amatuer mates play knowing that when Central are at home they most likely will win.

Problem is why go watch Central vs South when they could watch Eastern Park vs Tea Tree Gully for alot cheaper.

If Central were struggling they would start to role up to more games as there would be more closer contests.

Throw in as well alot of Northern Suburbs amatuer clubs are on the rise, Eastern Park, Elizabeth, Central United all made GF's last year and are in the highest divisions there clubs have been in for years. Throw in Salisbury who have a very strong side this year and the Northern Suburb amatuer clubs are booming.

yep but i find thats the norm these day, same as with Sunday games you will find most the soccer guys who stand at the northern end infront of the beer van will go to various amatuer soccer games then go to a football game where they presume they know the result.

Was making sense until you said that when the Dogs start struggling, you will get more people at games. History says that won't happen.

I guess more the point is fans are getting complacent/arrogant.

The average fan looks at the Central vs South @ Elizabeth fixture and think crap crowd, crap game, centrals will flog it in, instead they will go watch a local amatuer contest as in the past few years you have had Elizabeth, Brahma, Smithfield and Central United all the same divisions at various stages.

History says we will get bigger crowds like we did when we were struggling in 1998, 1999 our crowds then were bigger than last years attendences.

So The Dogs are the only club that attract more people when they struggle? Well, hopefully you get some big crowds soon.

I reckon Centrals should be selling the SANFL/Centrals brand, in particular free entry for u/18's, to teenagers, who can rock up to matches with their mates for free (and most teenagers will go to anything for free). In the late '90's/early 2000 when I was a teenager, it was great to go to Centrals matches for free, and I used to bring a few mates to most matches (including several who knew pretty much nothing about the SANFL as they were raised on AFL only) as well and we had a great day out for next to nothing (and it was easy getting them to come when you said it was free). For me, as a result of those years, I kept going as an adult, and bought a Membership and season ticket once I turned 18. I'm not sure if the club already does this but perhaps they could advertise our matches in local high schools to help bring more teenagers to our matches, and make an impression on them - it's sure beats having them tyre kicking in shopping centres on Saturdays.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

I believe that with the sponsor We have now, The LMC & Playford Alive, this will attract the young kids to Our club. They are attracting thousands of families to the area with this project & with the correct approach from The Club, things will be just fine in the years to come.

Housing developments are such inspirational things aren't they?

If only there was a team playing out of Blake's Crossing I'd chuck the Redlegs in a heartbeat.

they are when they bring about 40,000 people to the area over a period of about 15 years, with the associated infrastructure of shops, schools, transport etc., etc.

Given I grew up in Ferryden Park and worked for years at Arndale I reckon I'd be OK.

Thanks for the thoughts about my coffee habits though.

There's nothing like a C'entrals supporter trotting out lazy stereotypes is there? :D
