So is this about the time you put money on the dogs for the flag? Or should it wait a few more weeks?

Westies were awesome tonight, their key position stocks were an issue a couple of years ago but they have a great spread of players across the ground now. Centrals however will bounce back from that and are still likely flag winners even if they need to do it from 4th or 5th on the ladder. I Pity the panthers who have to play em at Elizabeth next week...ouch!. As bayman said, no doubt a star or two will be coaxed out of retirement. Not looking forward to my mob playing westies on a friday night in a few weeks, could get ugly!

That was nothing more than a glorified training drill for West Adelaide we were just woeful. Our defence held their own for 2 and a half quarter then the floodgates had to open. Our forward line was non-existant. Our midfield was missing. I don't think I have ever seen Centrals play that poorly - didn't even reach first gear! Completely outclassed.

Highlight of the night - the bbq (still the best in the SANFL IMO).

Wait a couple more weeks when their odds go out to $2. Absolute steal.

Truly was an " all played well" scenario for West. I thought the work of Willits and Birss was excellent tonight. Willits gives a contest and Birss is beginning to repay the club for the faith they have had in him over the last 2 years.

Fingers crossed Hartlett hasn't done any major damage to his ankle.

Dare I saw it, but Dicky Williams was on west's side tonight. Must be a late April fools joke, surely

I think it was an early April Fools joke when he announced his retirement at the end of last season. Why is he back?

So he is a liar as well as a disgraceful umpire. Tony Dey was supposed to have moved to Sydney and he's back as well. Completely spoiled my year as i was looking forward to a Williams Dey free future.

Will have to confirm, but I'm pretty sure PhilH said on LifeFM's coverage tonight that the Dogs score tonight is their lowest against Westies since 1974.

Nonetheless, a great to West, well done Bloods, they will have a good year this season and I will say it now, I can see them playing finals for sure.

The 1976 score 4.12 (36) vs 17.16 (118) at Richmond in Round 9 was the record; 4.6 (30) scored in this match is now the record.
