IF IT GOES THROUGH (yet to be confirmed), the Playford Alive project, through The Land Management Corporation, is a 15 to 20 year project, which in turn will bring about 4,500 new homes to the area, which equates to a s**tload of people, young people with families, up and coming footballers if managed correctly NOW. The LMC almost has a bottomless pit of money, the project must go ahead successfully. it's a new suburb, not a subdivision, shops, doctoes, a new 11 million dollar train station, a 1700 student super school, starting to see my vision?

it also involves the complete urban renewal of the Peachey Belt, from the trainline to Stebonheath Road, from Womma Road to Curtis Road. new shops, schools, public transport systems, reserves, walkways, the shopping precinct is being modelled on Mawson Lakes.

Yep , the big picture for the area is great which in the long run may produce more supporters but it is a sponsorship deal so what $$ do you estimate or are you just looking at the growth in the area ?

naming rights is worth AT LEAST $25,000 per annum. I think for a minimum of 5 years at a time, don't take my ramblings as gospel though.

If you get more people in your zone they will only change the boundaries again to make it more equitable. No big vision from a population point of view unfortunately....

If Playford Alive goes ahead what is the chance it will be zoned to another club or are Central going to give up more of salisbury/elizabeth area.

I have no idea where this project is but a project of this size would have to force a change in the sanfl boundaries regardless of whose zone it is in.

EDIT - should finish reading thread before posting next time

Quoting my own club's "2010 Club Information Booklet the zoning "only applies to players who are applying to play for an SANFL Club from the year they turn 15 until the year they are 19".

The SANFL reviews and bases its zones around the five-yearly National Census ( http://www.sanfl.com.au/the_sanfl/sanfl_club_boundaries/ ). The next Census is due next August, the following in August 2016.

If I'm reading it correctly (happy to be clued in) the CDFC would have the potential advantage of most of the increase of the relevant age-group until 2016.

I only know what Coopers pay Norwood for oval rights and it's fair to say that if the LMC are getting naming rights for 25K they're getting exceptional value for money.

no, i typed it. The train station will not just be a train station but a T.O.D., a Transport Orientated Development, bus/rail interchange, medium density residential development nearby and an underpass, which will link the project directly to the Main North Road. The quoted price of mine was what i heard at the start of the project. Apparently it will become the 3rd or 4th largest train station in South Australia! Have a look on the website, it's bloody impressive & great for the community.
