Yes, the old PAP take on that $1.3m max commitment but they also get the existing revenue streams of the old PAM - memberships, merchandise, that Hotel etc. I don't know what that figure is but it's > $0!.

Already it seems OnePA is generating more revenue than PAM and PAP were generating on their own.

Give it time before we start back on the doomsday crystal ball predictions I reckon!

Good post .. A financially healthy Port should realistically be in everyone's best interests .. Hat's off to them for getting out of the blocks so quickly.

yep, true. I'm sick of hating Norwood so much, glad to go back to hating Port. ;)

As long as the West Coast Eagles and South Adelaide participate in season 2011 that wont happen.

I'll reserve my congratulations for 3-5 years and see if the Port faithful are still backing up their chivalrous club.

Yeah I don't want to pay my bills either. I want to keep all of my wages, I earnt it why should anyone else get some?
It's all the SANFL's fault.

AFL:Port post $1.74m loss in 2010

AFL club Port Adelaide posted an operating loss of $1.74 million
in 2010.
Port president BRETT DUNCANSON says the club remains revenue
challenged, with a debt of $3.6 million.
Before SANFL, AFL and government grants, Port Adelaide suffered
a trading loss of $1.6 million in 2008 and $2.9 million last year.

Hopefully, now they can pay back the recent SANFL loan? Or at least start to. I'm not concerned about the AFL getting their minimal loan back.

Loan? It was not a loan, nothing to pay back.
It was subsidy for having a shit stadium deal from the greedy SANFL.

The SANFL find out who barracks for Port and barricades their front doors on game day so they cant attend. Nefarious stuff.

They must do the same for 10,000 Crows supporters as well.

But seriously, if the "Team for ALL South Australians" can't post a profit, what hope does a single club like Port Adelaide have?
