sad indeed, i used to love his calling & even more his comments, one that even now springs to mind when i'm at the footy ''this is the best team i've seen since the war'', it could be anyone of the then 10 teams that the abc were at but almost every week he made that comment

RIP jimmy deane & condolensces to the deane family & friends & the safc
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

What can be said that hasn't already been said?
A true champion for South and the SANFL, and a great advertisement for the game in the State.
Sincere condolences to the Deane family and the South Adelaide Football Club.
Vale Jim Deane.

Finished 2 votes behind Ron Phillips in 1948, 2 votes behind joint winners Phillips & Crabb in 1949, but 13 votes behind 1951 winner John Marriott. Maybe 4 medals.

I was reluctant to start a new thread on this, but former West Adelaide utility Ross Glover died as a result of a car accident on Saturday, December 4.

Glover crossed to West Adelaide from Gippsland Power in 2003 before returning to Victoria at the beginning of 2007 to Warragul, crossing to Ellinbank as coach at the end of 2009.

Glover was West Adelaide's 1202nd league player, making his debut in round one, 2003 - the same match that marked the first West Adelaide league games of Adam Cooney and Darren Bradshaw.

Yeah I was reluctant to start a thread on Rosco aswell!

Was a person I used to love watch play. He would always be giving 110% and he wore the number 19 with great pride! Hopefully pia, who was his best mate at the club, is travelling ok! Condolences to the Glover family
