Add Broadbent & Salter to the mix and I think they are an excellent chance. Will be another fascinatinating clash.

Just spoke to Nick stlll in Qld. Back tomorrow. Been running and feeling really good. Has been told by Eagles that he is definitely playing (subject to a very basic running test by the Power which he is confident he will fly through).

Yeah there is a bit, Im not a fan of it either personally .. It will be hard enough to try and get a win this weekend even playing at %100, if there is the slightest bit of distraction to focus on this Sundays game we're in trouble.

Warning to all Norwood supporters is to think no further than this week. If you underestimate the Eagles you do so at your own peril. The Eagles are without a shadow of a doubt the form side of this years finals sides with 2 big scalps in Sturt and Glenelg by an average winning margin of 54 points. The inclusions of Broadbent and Salter will further enhance the Eagles chances of winning this game. I think at this stage it's a 50-50 chance and either team could give the Dogs a run for their money the week after but at this stage it's 1 week at a time.

I don't think anyone is underestimating the Eagles mate, how could anyone with the form they've shown? I think some people are getting a bit excited by the potential prospect of a GF appearance, but really any talk of that this week is just nonsense and the focus needs to be all about trying to find a way past the Eagles.

JamesH wrote:My gut feeling is that the Eagles may be better off without Salter and Broadbent. For a cut throat game it will be a big risk bringing those back after not playing for four weeks. Also the Eagles AFL players have a history of not performing come finals time (I know they havent all let us down i.e. Stevens in 2000 and Skipworth in 2006).
Strangely Norwood will go into the game hot favourites, but I feel the Eagles would give Central a tougher game in the GF. They have showed that they have the mental toughness on the big stage (Norwoods time will come after a few more finals series)
