it depends on who you talk to, bode himself said yes after the game so that's good enough for me, however some of the usual 'doomsdayers' (plenty there last night at the club) had the wiz out for another couple presuming we get that far
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Not sure about the availability of Slater and Broadbent anymore.

Club website said they were both 4 weeks away last week but no mention of them anymore.

One wonders if the Power have had a word about not playing?!?

Mark Mickan said at today's Media Conference that skipper Ben Mules will be given every chance to play. A decision on him fronting up or not will be left until the last minute to allow him to prove his fitness. No mention of Matty Bode though...

Mick Godden made no mention of the AFL players in question but wasn't asked about them either.

i am very scared that the eagles looked really good on sunday, I suspect the bays will bow out of the finals race ... but i hope i am wrong.

I think it has been one of the amazing things in the SANFL this year, each teams form fluctuation. Last weeks games a good example. Massive reversal of the previous encounters between each of the sides. Both games 50/50, propositions. It wouldn't surprise me to see any of the teams win or lose by five goals.

Club email prior to the Sturt game said:

"Both Nick Salter (calf) and Matthew Broadbent (quad) are recovering well from their injuries and are keen to represent the Eagles in the 2010 SANFL Finals series. The Club will continue to monitor their progress alongside the Power with a view to them being available at the earliest opportunity. "

A little disapointed that there's still no Broadbent or Salter for the Eags this week but not really surprised either.

After this in Saturday's Advertiser it was mentioned that the Power have made them unavailable for finals because they are still trying to recover from soft tissue injuries.

I'm not sure what the real deal is but IF we are able to get through this weekend, don't hold your breath for them being available.

Team changes. Following training this morning Ben Mules has been ruled out for tomorrow's semi-final requiring another week to recover from his hamstring. Excitingly though Seb Tape has been called up for his first League game. Omitted from the 22 man squad was Shannon Snook. Matt Bode trained well as is ready to go.

Mules out is a massive loss

Good luck to the first gamer Tape, thought Snook wasnt that bad last week.

Bode is a big In. Unlucky for Mules. He is one of those players you admire no matter who you go for. IIRC Symmo took him out the last time we played a Semi against Glenelg.

Correct - but he came back on and took one of the most courageous marks I have seen in years.

Now, as long as Kirky doesn't give away a dumb free at half time like he did in that same Final, all will be good.
