looks like the eagles are going against the trend of teams losing the week before and then beating them in the elimination final, but the Eagles had played 3 elimination finals and never lost - not sure if thats overall or against sturt

I hope that my words don't come back to bite me but there is one bulldog with a smile on his face at the moment. I truly believe that Sturt are our main danger for the flag (although all four teams can beat us on their day). Keep the work up, Eagles - for both tri-coloured sides!

Sad to hear of the injury to Joffa. He possibly may have played his last bit of action for Sturt. He should have a great chance of being picked up in the draft and proving that we did indeed hold his AFL progress back - sorry, Joffa! We still love you at the Ponderosa though.

On the bright side: flights to Adelaide over the October long weekend are bloody expensive at the moment. :P
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Phil, I can't help having a slight allegiance to the Eagles. In summer, I become an Eagle, being the A Grade scorer for the West Torrens Cricket Club.

Where is everyone ????

Any comments on the qualifying final ? are Norwood home ? have Glenelg lost the plot and go out in straight sets next week?

I'd rather Centrals play Norwood next week than Glenelg.

Not so sure about that. The old age adage of: 'What is the easiest way to win a final? Play Glenelg' may still be in place. Sad to see. I had a feeling this may be the case though when they didn't seem to take the foot off the pedal in the leadup to the finals. The way they kept on winning matches whilst Norwood, the Eagles and Central lost a few made me wonder about whether they were doing the right thing at training in the lead-in to the finals. Were they pushing them harder on the track three or four weeks ago and resting them up now? Today's game would have me thinking not.
Cheers

For Glenelg's sake I do hope that they win a final before too long - but not against Central! ;)
